I recently picked up a 2023 Silverado in Northsky Blue, and I’m really looking to step up my detailing game. I’ve heard mixed things about Chevy’s factory clear coat—some say it’s a bit on the softer side, while others claim it’s prone to orange peel if not treated right. I’m looking for a premium, all-in-one kit that is specifically formulated to work well with GM’s paint characteristics. Does anyone have experience with brands that specialize in this, perhaps something that includes a high-grade sealant or ceramic spray that won't haze on darker Chevy metallics? I’m willing to invest in quality products to keep that showroom shine. What specific kits or product bundles have you guys found that deliver the best results on modern Chevrolet finishes?

Not sure but i think maybe look into Griot's Garage for safety since they're pretty gentle on thin clear coats... honestly Northsky Blue is tricky but their kits basically dont haze at all!

Honestly, I’ve had issues with standard waxes on that Northsky metallic. For technical performance on GM's thinner clear coat, I'd skip the consumer stuff and get the Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light 30ml and EXO v5 Ultra Durable Hydrophobic Coating 30ml Kit. It's more of a pro-sumer setup, but it handles GM's orange peel issues way better than a basic sealant. Just be careful with the prep cuz it's unforgiving!!

Honestly, I've been detailing GM trucks for years and that Northsky Blue is AMAZING when it pops! For your Silverado, I'd highkey suggest going with Adam's Polishes. They're basically the gold standard for Chevy paint since they've partnered with GM forever. Just grab any of their premium ceramic kits... the stuff is literally foolproof and wont haze up on dark metallics, you know?
