Just got a 2024 Silverado Z71 crew cab last week and im already tracking way too much mud into the cab since im out in the PNW and it rains every single day. Ive been a die-hard WeatherTech guy for years but the last set I had in my 2018 started curling at the edges after a few months and looked like junk.

I need something with that perfect laser-cut fit that stays flexible in the cold because I have a $200 budget and need them before a camping trip next week. Are Husky Liners actually better or should I look at those TuxMat ones everyone is talking about?

I swapped over to the Husky Liners X-act Contour Floor Liners for 2019-2024 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab a couple years back and honestly havent looked back since. The big difference is the material. WeatherTech uses a hard thermoplastic that gets brittle and curls, but these Husky ones are more like a heavy-duty rubberized stuff. They stay super flexible even when its freezing out in the PNW. I’ve been really happy with how they hold their shape without any of that annoying edge-lift. They have these little stay-put nibs on the bottom so they wont slide around when you’re getting in and out with muddy boots. Honestly, they’re way better than the ones you had. They fit your budget too and work well for keeping the carpet dry during camping trips. I’m satisfied enough that I wont go back to the other brands.

To add to the point above: my TuxMat Floor Mats for 2024 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab work well and stay secure, which is huge for safety. I havent had any complaints, really satisfied.

Honestly, I'm a bit late to the party but after decades of owning trucks, I have a different take on this. Everyone is hyping up those designer mats that look like luxury suites lately, but in my experience, those aren't what you want when you're actually out in the PNW mud.

  • Just go with the floor liners from Smartliner.
  • Make sure it uses the factory retention posts.
  • Avoid the hard plastic types that curl. I've tried many brands over the years and most of them fail on one simple thing: safety. If the mat starts shifting while you're driving because the bottom grip is cheap, you're looking at a serious risk near your pedals. While the others mentioned are fine, some of those luxury brands are basically overkill and a pain to clean when they're caked in silt. Smartliner is straightforward, no-frills, and they get the job done without the curling issues you saw with your old ones. Tbh, you dont need to overthink it or spend a fortune on fancy stitching that's just gonna trap dirt and grit. I've seen guys spend way more and end up with mats that slide around after a month. Stick to a brand that focuses on the utility side of things... they'll definitely handle the mess without breaking your budget before your trip. Just make sure you get them clicked into the floor properly.

I put Rough Country Floor Mats for 2019-2024 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab in my Z71. TPE material beats thermoplastic in the cold.

  • Cost: $160ish
  • Specs: High-rim design No curling after six months.
