I just got my first 2018 Chrysler 300 and Im so stoked to finally have a cool car! I really want to make it faster or sound meaner but i have zero idea where to even start... i got like $500 saved up, what are some easy performance things i can buy first?
Unfortunately, basic intakes offer marginal airflow gains without a tune. I suggest a Pedal Commander PC31 Throttle Response Controller with 36 sensitivity settings. It actually fixes the factory throttle lag, tbh.
> I really want to make it faster or sound meaner Love that you got a 300! Its a fantastic ride!! Just remember these cars are heavy. My biggest regret was chasing speed before thinking about stopping, honestly. Grab some PowerStop Z23 Evolution Sport Brake Pads first! They stop way better than stock and feel amazing when youre driving hard. Safety is everything, and the confidence boost you get is incredible, tbh!
TL;DR: Grab a cold air intake for better sound and throttle response, or look into a muffler swap if you want a deeper rumble. With $500, your best bet is starting with the basics. Most guys in the community go for a cold air intake first. It wont turn it into a track car, but youll notice a difference in how it sounds under load. I recommend the K&N 63 Series AirCharger Cold Air Intake System because it is an easy DIY install. It basically replaces the restrictive factory box so the engine can pull air more freely. Another solid option within that budget is upgrading the mufflers. A set of Flowmaster Super 44 Series Mufflers will give you that classic muscle car sound you are likely looking for. Just remember to save about $100 for a local exhaust shop to weld them in for you since it isnt a bolt-on job like the intake is.
> i got like $500 saved up Just catching up. Is yours the 3.6L or 5.7L? Be careful with blow-by; I would suggest Billet Technology Signature Series Oil Catch Can with the Z-bracket to keep your intake clean.
