What are the must-have interior accessories for a Dodge Durango?

So I finally pulled the trigger on a 2023 Durango R/T and man the interior is way nicer than my old 2014 but Im already seeing where things are gonna get trashed. Ive been a Dodge guy for years so I know the drill with the cheap plastics in some spots but this new dash and the leather seats actually feel decent for once. My logic was to just grab some WeatherTechs and call it a day but then I saw those TuxMat things online and now Im second guessing. The floor coverage looks better but are they a pain to clean?

Were taking the kids down to the Smokies in three weeks so I'm on a bit of a timeline to get this cabin protected before the mud and juice boxes take over. Ive got about 500 bucks set aside for quality of life upgrades. I was thinking about those center console organizers because the deep bin is just a black hole for my keys and the uconnect screen is a total fingerprint magnet so maybe a protector for that?

  • floor mats (obviously)
  • seat back protectors for the 2nd row
  • maybe some decent window shades that actually fit the rear glass

What are you guys actually using day to day that doesnt look like cheap junk from a gas station? Im trying to keep that clean R/T look but with the utility of a family hauler...

Congrats on the R/T! That new interior is such a massive step up from the older gens, but yeah, kids will wreck it fast if you arent careful. Look, Ive tried many setups over the years, and if you want that clean look without making it feel like a work truck, skip the WeatherTechs this time. I used them for a decade, but honestly, TuxMat Dodge Durango 2021-2024 Floor Mats are just superior for the Durango. They cover way more of the carpeted side walls than the others, and in my experience, they actually feel way more premium under your feet. Cleaning them is basically just a quick wipe with a damp microfiber... much easier than scrubbing the stiff plastic on the others once the mud dries. For that black hole of a console, you gotta grab the Vehicle OCD Center Console Organizer for Dodge Durango. It is a simple plastic insert but makes a world of difference for keeping your wallet and keys from disappearing into the abyss. Since you mentioned the screen, definitely get the Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Screen Protector for 10.1-inch Uconnect. It makes the fingerprints way less noticeable and protects from scratches if the kids start poking at it with toy cars or whatever. I have found that the matte ones can blur the screen though, so stick with clear tempered glass to keep that R/T display looking sharp. For the seat backs, just grab some generic black leatherette kick protectors... keeps the cabin looking stealthy instead of like a daycare.

You gotta go with the TuxMat Dodge Durango Floor Mats 2021-2024! I love how they look like luxury flooring instead of a plastic tub. Theyre actually super easy to clean with just a damp rag so dont worry about mud. For the kids, grab SnapShades Magnetic Window Sun Shades for Dodge Durango. They snap right to the metal frame and look totally stock. Check out the Durango Owners Club site for install tips!
