I just picked up my new GV80 and the interior is stunning, but I'm worried about wear and tear. I’m specifically looking for high-quality all-weather floor mats and a sturdy cargo liner. Does anyone have experience with TuxMat or WeatherTech for this model? Also, what are you guys using to protect that soft leather from denim dye?

For your situation, I've literally been obsessing over these exact same technical details for my new ride!! Here is what I recommend for the best value and protection: 1. TuxMat Floor Mats for Genesis GV80 are hands down the winner because they cover almost 100% of the carpet, including the vertical walls. I looked at the WeatherTech FloorLiner for Genesis GV80 too, but it feels a bit more like a plastic work truck mat tbh, and it doesn't cover as much area.
2. To stop that annoying denim dye transfer, you highkey need Gyeon Q2 LeatherShield 50ml. It's basically a ceramic coating for your seats. It’s sooo easy to wipe on and creates a barrier so the dye doesn't soak in... seriously a lifesaver for light interiors!!
3. For the back, the Genesis GV80 Reversible Cargo Tray is amazing because it has carpet on one side and rubber on the other, so it’s super practical for different loads. Love the GV80, it’s honestly such a fantastic choice... good luck!! 👍

Respectfully, I'd consider another option. TuxMats have great coverage, but i've always been paranoid about thick mats interfering with the pedals—safety is priority #1! I actually prefer 3D MAXpider KAGU Floor Mats over WeatherTech FloorLiner. The MAXpider mats are way more secure and dont look like they belong in a truck. For that denim dye, seriously just use Gyeon Q2 LeatherShield. It's a lifesaver for light leather. peace!

yo, congrats on the GV80! honestly that interior is literally world-class. i remember when i first got mine, i was so paranoid about ruining the light leather that i almost made my kids take their shoes off before getting in lol. i spent weeks researching how to keep it looking mint because i was highkey scared of that first permanent stain. i would suggest being super careful about the cargo liner specifically. if you get one that is too stiff, it's a total nightmare to get to the storage underneath. also, definitely avoid those cheap silicone-based leather conditioners! they make the seats way too slippery and actually trap dirt in the pores of the leather, which is exactly what you dont want. here's what i ended up doing:
- TuxMat is 100% the way to go for the floors. i tried WeatherTech at first cuz they're famous, but they felt way too "work truck" for a luxury car. TuxMat covers basically every inch of carpet and looks much more premium. i think they even help with road noise a bit too? idk but it feels quieter.
- For the seats, look into a ceramic leather coating. it's basically the only thing that actually stops denim dye from staining permanently. - Keep a high-quality microfiber and a gentle leather cleaner in the car for immediate spills. basically, i learned that "all-weather" protection doesnt have to look industrial. just dont wait too long to apply the leather coating or that blue tint from your jeans will stay there forever... i almost ruined my driver seat waiting too long! anyway, hope this helps and gl with the new ride!
