Which key fob covers offer the best protection for Genesis?

I recently picked up a 2024 Genesis GV70, and I’m absolutely in love with the sleek design of the key fob. However, I’ve already noticed a couple of tiny hairline scratches just from keeping it in my pocket with my house keys. Given how expensive these fobs are to replace, I’m getting a bit anxious about keeping it in pristine condition.

I’ve been browsing a few options online, ranging from those basic silicone sleeves to the more premium-looking leather covers and even those rugged TPU hard cases. I’m really looking for something that provides solid drop protection without interfering with the signal or making the fob feel too bulky in my pocket. I’m also curious if anyone has found a cover that actually matches the Genesis interior aesthetic well—maybe something with a metallic finish or high-quality stitching?

I’m willing to spend around $30-$50 for something that actually lasts and fits like a glove. Has anyone here tried the brands like AJT Design or those custom leather ones from Etsy? Which key fob covers have you found offer the best balance of drop protection and style for your Genesis?

ngl I was super paranoid about scratching my GV70 fob too! I've tried a few and here's the deal:

1. Tukellen Leather Key Fob Cover for Genesis - This one looks classiest and matches the interior vibe perfectly with the stitching. It's great for scratch protection but only okay for drops.
2. Ontto Rugged TPU Key Fob Cover - Honestly, this is the winner for safety. It's a bit bulkier, but the TPU absorbs shocks way better if you drop it on concrete.

I'd go with the TPU if you're worried about drops, but the leather fits like a glove!

Honestly, I think you should just look into any high-quality leather cover from a reputable Etsy seller or maybe check out Vitodeco. I've found that leather is basically the best way to keep the fob slim in your pocket while still looking like it belongs inside a Genesis. I mean, the TPU cases are okay but they can feel kinda cheap... just make sure to double-check that the buttons align right before you buy! 👍

So basically the consensus is that leather is the way to go for that premium Genesis vibe, but I wanna chime in from a safety-first perspective because I've seen some cheap covers actually jam buttons in an emergency! After 5 years with these fobs, I'm literally obsessed with Crazy Horse Craft Leather Key Fob Case—the leather is thick enough to survive a nasty drop on concrete without any signal interference, which is amazing.

If ur looking for something even more rugged tho, check out the TPU Carbon Fiber Pattern Key Cover for Genesis. It's super stylish and highkey protects against liquid spills if u drop ur keys in a puddle. Honestly, spending the 40 bucks now is sooo much better than the $500 dealer replacement fee. Gl with the GV70, it's a fantastic ride!!
