Seriously getting so frustrated trying to pick floor mats for my IONIQ 5. I’ve been looking for weeks and every time I think I found a pair I read a bad review. I saw people recommending the WeatherTech ones but they look so stiff and industrial like they belong in a work truck not an EV. Then I looked at TuxMat but some guys say they are a huge pain to actually get clean once they get muddy. I just want something that fits right.

What I am looking for:

  • works with the sliding center console
  • easy to spray off at the car wash
  • budget around 180 bucks
  • covers the dead pedal area

Anyone found anything that actually works?

To add to the point above: definitely watch that clearance. I have been super happy with BestEvMod Ioniq 5 Floor Mats All Weather. They are a breeze to spray off and fit the sliding console perfectly.

  • BestEvMod: great grip, dead pedal covered.
  • WooEV Ioniq 5 TPE Floor Mats: durable, safe fit. No complaints here, they wont slide under your pedals... basically a perfect budget pick.

I went through this exact same struggle a few months back. Honestly, spending way too much on the car itself meant I was looking to save every penny on accessories. My first try was a set of generic TPE mats from a random site... huge mistake. They didnt cover the dead pedal and my carpet got trashed with salt within a week. Be really careful with those universal fits you see on Amazon for like sixty bucks. Looking into Husky Liners WeatherBeater Floor Mats was a better move since I found them on sale. They are usually right around that 180 mark if you catch a coupon. One thing to watch out for tho: make sure you are looking at the 2022-2024 specific model. There is a risk of ordering the ones for the regular Ioniq by accident. The Husky ones have a decent lip, but you gotta make sure the center console doesnt snag. While I actually trimmed a tiny bit of the plastic on my old set of mats in a different car, you shouldnt have to do that if the fit is right. Just be wary of the clearance when you slide the console all the way back. If you are really pinching pennies, keep an eye on Maxliner Custom Fit Floor Mats. Those are basically the same as Smartliner but sometimes the branding changes the price. They can go for under 150 on some sites. TL;DR: Check for the Husky Weatherbeaters or Maxliner for a better price than the big brands, but triple-check the dead pedal coverage before hitting buy.

Unfortunately, many brands fail the sliding console test. I had issues with fitment until I tried 3D MAXpider KAGU Series All-Weather Floor Mats.

  • Fits sliding console
  • Covers dead pedal

To add to the point above: I definitely agree on those 3D mats, but you might want to consider the Smartliner Custom Fit Floor Mats for Hyundai IONIQ 5 as a solid alternative. Just be careful with the sliding console clearance tho. I would suggest double-checking the lip height near the rails. If its too high, the console will snag and potentially damage the mat or the motor.
