Finally picking up my white Ioniq 5 SEL next Tuesday and I'm already obsessing over keeping it clean since I've got two messy kids and we live in Seattle so it's always muddy outside. I've been looking at floor mats and I'm totally torn between the TuxMats and the WeatherTech ones. The TuxMats look way more premium and cover more of the carpet which seems great but I've heard they can be a bit of a pain to install with all those clips. On the other hand, WeatherTech is like the classic choice but they look kinda industrial and I dont want to ruin the futuristic vibe of the cabin.

I've only got about 350 bucks to spend right now after that down payment wrecked my savings haha. Also looking at those center console organizers since the space under the armrest is just a giant black hole... is the Spigen one worth the extra cash or should I just get a cheapo one from Amazon? I want to get everything ordered this week so it's here before our first big road trip to the coast. What do you guys think is the absolute priority for the interior besides the mats? Like is a screen protector actually necessary for that huge display or is it just overkill...

Using the following setup for several months has worked well and I've been very satisfied with the results. To maintain the interior aesthetic while protecting against mud, the TuxMat Hyundai IONIQ 5 Custom Floor Mats Full Set is the superior choice over the WeatherTech FloorLiner for Hyundai IONIQ 5. The TuxMats provide near-total carpet coverage and look much more integrated into the cabin. Installation is straightforward despite the clips, it only took me 20 minutes. For the other items on your list:

  • BestEvMod Center Console Organizer Tray for Ioniq 5 provides the same utility as the more expensive brands for half the price.
  • Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Screen Protector for Hyundai IONIQ 5 is an excellent product, but the factory screen is quite resilient on its own. TuxMats are definitely the priority for Seattle weather. Skipping the screen protector allowed me to stay well within a 350 dollar budget while still getting high-quality protection for the floors.

Man, congrats on the white SEL! I have had mine for about 14 months now and I totally feel you on the Seattle mud struggle... it is relentless. Since you are on a budget after that down payment, I will tell you what actually saved my sanity with my two rascals. Everyone obsesses over the floors, but my kids were absolutely destroying the back of my seats with their wet shoes! I ended up getting the BestEvMod Hyundai IONIQ 5 Kick Protectors and they are a total game changer. They match the interior vibe perfectly and I just wipe the mud off with a damp cloth every weekend. For the console, honestly dont overthink it. I skipped the Spigen and grabbed the Topfit Center Console Organizer Tray for IONIQ 5 for way less cash. It fits like a glove and keeps my shades and charging cables from disappearing into the abyss. With the money I saved there, I put it towards the Vancity IONIQ 5 Cargo Mat because throwing wet strollers or sports gear onto that trunk carpet is a nightmare to clean later. That carpet is like a magnet for dog hair and dirt, seriously. Oh, and about the screen protector? Tbh I think it is total overkill. The display is already pretty sturdy and it is not like a phone that you are gonna drop on the pavement. Save that cash for a nice family dinner on your road trip instead! You are gonna love the car tho, it is such a smooth ride!
