So I finally pulled the trigger on a 2024 Ioniq 5 last month and honestly I am so frustrated with how messy the interior gets like literally five minutes after I clean it. I love the car dont get me wrong the drive is smooth but my god the storage situation is a total nightmare. My logic was that the open floor plan would feel airy and cool but in reality everything just slides around every time I take a turn and there is no place to put anything securely. My sunglasses are rattling in that weird door pocket and I already managed to scuff the white door panel with my boot because the space is just so awkward.
I live in Seattle so the rain and mud are already wrecking the stock carpet mats which are basically just thin pieces of felt at this point. I need suggestions for actual rugged mats that dont look like they belong in a construction truck but can handle a wet golden retriever. Also that center console area... what are people doing with that? It is just a giant empty pit and my keys and wallet are constantly getting buried under my charger cables. I was thinking about getting one of those tray inserts but there are like a million on Amazon and I dont want to buy junk that rattles.
I have about 400 bucks saved up to just sort this whole interior out before I lose my mind. Here is what I am looking for mainly:
Are the drawer organizers actually worth it or do they just get stuck? And please tell me someone found a screen protector that doesnt show every single fingerprint because the smudge marks are driving me insane in the sunlight. Just feels like for a 50k car I shouldnt be this annoyed with where my phone sits...
Re: "> my keys and wallet are constantly getting..."
Congrats on the new ride! I felt the exact same way when I got mine... that open floor looks cool until your stuff starts sliding under the pedals. I spent a while looking at mats and honestly, I am so happy I went with TuxMat Custom Fit Floor Mats for Hyundai IONIQ 5. They cover way more area than the WeatherTech FloorLiner All-Weather Mats, especially up the sides which helps with the mud. They work perfectly with the sliding console too. For the console pit and screen, I am super satisfied with these:
Wow ok that changes things. Gonna have to rethink my approach now.

I was thinking about getting one of those tray inserts but there are like a million on Amazon and I dont want to buy junk that rattles. The frustration with that center console is real. I eventually settled on a few specific pieces that solved the storage mess for me. For the console pit, I am very satisfied with the BestEvMod Ioniq 5 Center Console Organizer Tray. It fits the sliding console perfectly and doesnt rattle at all. It keeps the small stuff up top while leaving room for cables underneath. Regarding the floors, I went with 3D MAXpider KAGU Series All-Weather Floor Mats for Hyundai IONIQ 5. They look sleek and professional but handle the Seattle rain and mud like a champ. A few other solutions that work well:
Subbing for updates
Just caught this thread and honestly I had the exact same headache when I first got mine. Everything was sliding around like crazy and it felt super unsafe. I actually had my sunglasses fly across the floor during a sharp turn once... definitely not ideal. I ended up being really satisfied with a few simple fixes. For the phone issue, I just dropped in a Lecooling Ioniq 5 Wireless Charging Pad Mat and it works well to keep things planted. No more diving into the footwell for my phone at stoplights. Also, instead of a permanent screen protector, I just keep a WHOOSH! Screen Shine Go Screen Cleaner in the center console. I find a quick wipe every few days handles the fingerprints better than adding more glass. Its been a solid setup for me so far and keeps the interior looking clean without much effort.
