What are the must-have interior accessories for a new Hyundai IONIQ 5 because I am so lost honestly? I finally get my car next Thursday in Seattle after waiting forever and I am so excited but I have never owned an EV before or even a new car really so I dont know what is actually useful vs just a waste of money. My budget is maybe 300 bucks for now to get started. Do I need those screen protectors or special floor mats because the dealer ones look kinda cheap? Also that space under the console is huge and I feel like everything is just gonna slide around down there... any advice for a total beginner would be great.

Skip the screen protectors honestly. Spending my cash on TAPTES All Weather Floor Mats for Hyundai Ioniq 5 worked out well. Super cheap but they fit tight so they wont slide and jam your pedals, which was a big worry for me. They protect the floor from mud and spills way better than those flimsy dealer ones. Really satisfied with the quality for the price.

Does your trim have the sliding console or the fixed version? It affects fitment. The BestEvMod Ioniq 5 Lower Console Organizer stops stuff sliding and isnt a waste.

Congrats on the new ride! Hyundai is doing such amazing things compared to brands like Ford or Tesla lately, you are gonna love the build quality!

  • It actually reminds me of my brothers first big car purchase years ago
  • He was so paranoid about keeping the floor clean that he made everyone take their shoes off before getting in
  • One time we were driving to a wedding and he made our uncle sit in the back with his dress shoes in a plastic bag to save the carpet
  • We ended up being forty minutes late because he hit a massive pothole while checking for scuffs on the door sill and we had to change a tire in the mud anyway He was so worried about the inside that he completely forgot about the outside hazards! His safety sensors were beeping like crazy too but he just ignored them to look at the floor mats instead of the road. But yeah, it was a whole ordeal honestly.
