Just got my Ioniq 5 and I am so excited but totally clueless about what to buy for the inside lol. I was thinking maybe floor mats since I have a messy dog.

My budget is pretty tight this month though. Sorry if this is basic but what are the must haves?

To add to the point above: I would suggest checking the Ioniq Forum classifieds for gear. Make sure to prioritize the Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Ioniq 5 so you dont damage screens.

> I was thinking maybe floor mats since I have a messy dog. Stumbled upon this while looking for something else this morning... honestly if you have a dog you really need to be careful with the cargo area. The fabric back there is a magnet for fur and mud and its basically impossible to get clean once it gets ground in. I would suggest comparing a few liners before you make a move. The Hyundai OEM IONIQ 5 Reversible Cargo Tray is a solid starting point. Its great because it fits perfectly and has a lip to catch spills, but the downside is it only covers the floor. If you fold your seats down for the dog, the back of the seats are still totally exposed. Another option is the Canvasback Custom Cargo Liner for Hyundai IONIQ 5. This one is more of a fabric-style barrier. The pro here is that it covers the seat backs too, which is huge for safety and cleanliness if your dog likes to move around. The con is that it doesn't hold liquid spills as well as the rubber tray. Also, you might want to consider the Fitcamx 4K Dash Cam for Hyundai IONIQ 5. I'm pretty cautious about wiring and electrical safety, and this one replaces the plastic shell behind the rearview mirror so it looks factory. Its way more reliable than those cheap suction cup ones that fall off in the heat. Just make sure to watch a video on how to pop the plastic clips so you dont break anything. Better safe than sorry when it comes to recording your drives.

@Reply #3 - good point! Is yours the Limited or SE? Sadly OEM storage is inefficient.

  • BestEvMod Console Tray ABS fits well but is shallow.
  • Musology Under Console Box adds volume but limits access.

I had issues with cheap alternatives that were not as good as expected. You should consider the WeatherTech FloorLiner DigitalFit for Hyundai IONIQ 5. They are expensive, but generic brands were disappointing and left gaps. Its better to invest in proper protection now than regret it later.

Seeing a new Ioniq 5 owner brings back so many amazing memories! I love this car so much! This whole situation really reminds me of when my cousin first got his luxury SUV back in 2019 and he was terrified of his German Shepherd ruining the seats. We spent weeks comparing every single brand name we could find in the catalogs, looking at the thickness of the materials and the way the stitching was done. We actually made a spreadsheet of about fifteen different companies to see who had the best reputation for durability! It became this massive project for the whole family, and we would spend our Saturday mornings just touching different fabric samples and debating the merits of different manufacturing processes. My aunt even got involved and started testing how easy it was to scrub mud out of the different brand samples we ordered. It was a total ordeal that lasted the entire summer, but it was honestly such a fun way to bond over a new vehicle!
