So I finally pulled the trigger on a 2024 Ioniq 5 SEL last week and honestly I am loving the space but the interior feels a bit... empty? Like there is so much floor room that things just slide around everywhere whenever I take a turn too fast. I live up in Washington so I already grabbed some floor mats because the rainy season is basically starting tomorrow and I dont want to ruin the carpets with mud and pine needles but now I am looking at the actual quality of life stuff for the inside. I spent like three hours on forums last night and I am more confused than when I started lol.

I saw everyone talking about that center console organizer tray since the deep bin is basically a black hole where my keys go to die but then I realized there are two different versions and some people say the cheap ones from Amazon rattle like crazy or dont fit the sliding console right. Mine is the fixed one since its the SEL trim so I am trying to figure out if the dimensions are actually different or if people are just installing them wrong? Also I was looking at those screen protectors for the dual display but I read one review saying it made the glare way worse in direct sunlight and another saying it makes the touch response feel laggy. Since I plan on keeping this car for at least 5 or 6 years I want to keep it nice but I dont want to buy junk that I will just throw away in a month. I am trying to keep the budget under 300 bucks for everything right now.

What are you guys actually using day to day that is worth the money? Is that little drawer thing that goes under the dashboard actually useful or does it just get in the way of your legs? I am mainly looking for stuff that helps with organization or protects the white bits of the interior because I am terrified of staining them with coffee or something... what are the absolute essentials I should buy first?

Re: "Unfortunately, those cheap trays rattle. Honestly, get the..." - yeah, dont cheap out on stuff you touch every day. In my experience over the years, I've tried many screen covers and the matte ones are the only way to go. Something like the Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector Matte for Ioniq 5 is a lifesaver for glare. It also keeps the white bezel area looking clean instead of covered in oily smudges. For the white interior, I've seen too many people ruin their seats. I'd suggest a ceramic coating like Gyeon Quartz Q2 LeatherShield 50ml right away. It makes spills bead right off. Also, check out IoniqForum.com for the master accessory list. Honestly, skip the under-dash drawer... it usually just gets in the way of your legs if you're even slightly tall. Keep it simple and focus on protection first.

Unfortunately, those cheap trays rattle. Honestly, get the BestEvMod Ioniq 5 Center Console Organizer Tray Fixed Version because it fits securely so stuff wont slide and distract you, which is way safer.

Regarding what #2 said, I tried a matte one but it reduced the resolution, which was sketchy. im satisfied with clear Spigen covers for reliability tho.

  • Works well
  • No complaints
