Just picked up my new IONIQ 5 and I'm absolutely loving the drive, but I want to make sure I’m protecting the interior from the start! Since the floor is totally flat, I’m looking for high-quality all-weather mats that actually stay in place. I’m also curious if a tempered glass screen protector is necessary for that massive dual-display, or if it just causes glare. Lastly, has anyone found a solid center console organizer? The open space is cool, but my stuff keeps sliding around whenever I take a turn. For those who’ve had theirs for a while, what are the absolute 'day one' essentials you’d recommend to keep the car clean and functional?

So basically the consensus is matte screens. - 3D MAXpider KAGU Floor Mats: Pro: safe. Con: pricey.
- BestEvMod Storage Tray: Pro: snug. Con: small.
Unfortunately, I’ve had mats jam pedals. Caution!

Oh man, congrats on the new ride!! Honestly, the first few weeks with an I5 are pure magic. I remember when I brought mine home, I was lowkey terrified of scuffing that interior. The open floor is cool but it basically turns the car into a bowling alley if you dont have the right gear. Here is what I recommend based on my experience:
1. **Floor Mats**: You gotta go with TuxMat Hyundai IONIQ 5 All-Weather Floor Mats. They cover way more than the OEM ones and actually stay put cuz of the custom clips.
2. **Screen Protector**: Get the Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Hyundai IONIQ 5. It's matte, so it actually *kills* glare and stops fingerprints.
3. **Organizer**: I use the BestEvMod Center Console Organizer Tray for Hyundai Ioniq 5 and it’s a lifesaver for stopping stuff from sliding around. Lesson learned? Don't wait on the mats. I waited a month and already had a stain that was a nightmare to get out... just protect it day one!

Quick question - do you have the sliding Universal Island or the fixed console?? Fitment actually varies between the trims. Before I give full advice, check these out:
- The EV Shop Matte Screen Protector for Hyundai Ioniq 5 (kills glare better than glass tbh)
- TuxMat Floor Mats for Hyundai Ioniq 5 (best coverage for that floor) I'd suggest matte cuz reflections get annoying. Let me know about your console tho! 👍

In my experience, get the Vesul Center Console Insert ($15) and OEDRO All-Weather Liners. Skip the glass; a RUIYA Matte Screen Protector is cheaper and kills glare better, honestly.

- Matte screen protectors are the clear winner for visibility.
- Console fit depends entirely on your specific trim level.
- Full-coverage mats are essential for keeping that flat floor clean. I actually tried to go the DIY route when I first brought mine home because I'm a bit of a tinkerer. I bought some heavy-duty industrial rubber and tried to hand-cut my own floor liners to save a few bucks. Huge mistake! It looked terrible and, more importantly, the driver side piece kept shifting around. It actually got snagged on the pedal once while I was backing out and I just about had a heart attack. I learned my lesson real quick that precision fit is a safety thing, not just about style. I love it now that I have everything secured properly with actual fitted gear... so much more peace of mind!

Big if true
