I just picked up my new IONIQ 5 and I’m absolutely loving it! I want to keep it in pristine condition, so I’m looking for recommendations on essentials like all-weather floor mats, a screen protector for that massive display, and maybe a center console organizer. What are the first few accessories every new owner should grab to level up their ride?
+1 to what was said earlier! honestly, late to the party but u gotta protect the paint too. rock chips are a real issue i think.
1. BestEvMod Mud Guards for Hyundai Ioniq 5 - Cheap way to block debris from hitting ur doors.
2. JKCOVER Silicone Key Fob Cover for Hyundai - Seriously helps protect ur expensive keys from drops.
Make sure to check the fitment carefully tho... some brands dont fit snug. basically just take it slow!! gl!
yo, congrats!! honestly, you might want to consider the Vancool 12.3-inch Matte Screen Protector cuz those fingerprints are literally everywhere... and i worry about glare. also, i'd suggest the WeatherTech FloorLiner for Hyundai IONIQ 5 for the floors. make sure to check out the Lectron V2L Adapter for Hyundai IONIQ 5 too. I'm still new to EVs, but being able to plug in stuff is highkey amazing! gl!
Respectfully, I'd consider another option before you spend all ur cash on mats and screen protectors. Not to disagree, but I've been in the EV game for a long time, and safety is *waaaay* more important than keeping the carpet clean!! Honestly, my biggest warning is about the electrical system. You gotta be super careful with cheap 12v accessories... i've seen folks literally brick their cars using uncertified dash cams or poorly made adapters that drain the battery.
Quick reply while I have a sec—the IONIQ 5 is amazing, but it doesn't have a spare tire! So, my first 'must-have' is actually a high-quality tire plug kit and a portable air compressor. Basically, if u get a flat in the middle of nowhere, floor mats won't help u get home lol. Also, I highly recommend a portable 12v jump starter. The 12v battery issues are a known thing with EVs, and having that peace of mind is fantastic.
I mean, i get wanting it to look pristine, but i've learned the hard way that being prepared for a breakdown is the real level-up. Plus, maybe look into a fire extinguisher designed for cars?? It sounds overkill but safety-first is the way to go with these high-tech machines. Anyway, just my two cents after years of driving these things... gl with the new ride, you're gonna love it!
Totally agree with the point about the lack of a spare tire... it’s honestly one of those things you don’t think about until you’re stuck on the side of the road at 2am. Since you’re looking at long-term stuff, I’d definitely suggest getting a BougeRV Rear Trunk Mat for Hyundai IONIQ 5 because the trunk carpet is surprisingly thin and gets shredded by Velcro or heavy gear pretty fast. Also idk if you've thought about security but a Mission Cables Faraday Bag for Key Fobs is a cheap way to keep the car safe from those signal boosting thefts since our keys are always *on* basically and it makes me a bit paranoid tbh. Just a couple quick tips from someone who's had their HI5 for a bit now and wants to keep it running smooth!
In my experience, you really gotta prioritize protection for that interior ASAP. Honestly, the stock carpet is a total dirt magnet. First off, get the TuxMat Floor Mats for Hyundai IONIQ 5 2022-2024. I've tried many brands and these give the best vertical coverage, literally protecting the sides of the footwell too. For the dash, the Spigen Glas.tR Slim Screen Protector for Hyundai IONIQ 5 12.3-inch Display is basically mandatory to stop those annoying fingerprints.
Here's what I recommend for storage:
* BestEvMod Center Console Organizer Tray for Hyundai IONIQ 5
* Musology Under Screen Storage Tray for Hyundai IONIQ 5
That under-screen tray is lowkey a game changer for sunglasses and keys since the car is so open. Anyway, these few bits will keep everything looking showroom fresh for way longer. gl with the new EV!! 👍
Good to know!
