What performance accessories actually work for the F-TYPE R-75? I saw the VelocityAP tunes online but Im terrified of voiding the warranty on a $110k car I just bought in Chicago.

Do I need a full brake kit or is high-temp fluid enough for a $5k budget... Im just so nervous about breaking something...

Love the R-75! Just skip the expensive brake kit and save money with these:

Saw this a few hours back but just now getting a chance to reply... I've spent years tweaking these cars and honestly, if you're worried about the warranty, stay away from the ECU for at least the first year. Focus on the handling and rubber first tho. The R-75 has plenty of power but it needs to get it to the ground better. In my experience, these mods make the biggest difference without making the dealer mad.

  • Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 295/30ZR20 tires. Swap the stock ones out immediately, you'll thank me later.
  • H&R Sport Springs 28822-1 for a better center of gravity and much better turn-in.
  • Eventuri Carbon Fiber Intake System EVE-FT-CF-INT which adds some amazing supercharger whine and better throttle response. Definitely check out JaguarForums.com and search for threads by members like Tel or Unhingd. They have literal spreadsheets of technical data that helped me out a ton when I was starting. Hit me up if you want to talk about pulley swaps later on!

Unfortunately, the stock cooling is the real weak point here, not the brakes. Its kinda disappointing that the R-75 heat soaks so fast tbh. Since you're worried about the warranty, grab a VelocityAP Upgraded Charge Cooler Radiator. It keeps temps stable without an ECU flash. Spend the rest of that $5k on Vossen HF-5 Hybrid Forged Wheels to shed weight. It wont flag anything at the dealership and feels way better.

@Reply #3 - good point! Its honestly disappointing how Jaguar handled the thermal management on these. Data shows the R-75 pulls timing way too early once intake air temps climb. Reliability is a huge concern if you push it hard. Couple questions to narrow it down:

  • Are you planning on full 20-minute track sessions or just occasional spirited runs?
  • Do you have a way to monitor ATF and oil temps in real time yet?
