I recently picked up an F-TYPE R-75 and want to sharpen the handling and sound. I am currently looking into VelocityAP tunes and maybe some Eventuri intakes to let that supercharger breathe.
Since it is the final year model, I am curious about what fits best. What are the most impactful performance mods you have installed on yours?
yo, congrats on the R-75! honestly, since the others mentioned the big-ticket items, i wanna focus on getting the most bang for your buck. i mean, you gotta think about cost vs gains, right?
Pros: Springs are way cheaper and keep the factory adaptive damping. Cons: Coilovers are better for track but cost like 4x more.
Best choice: Go with the VelocityAP Lowering Springs. The 20mm drop is perfect for sharpening turn-in without ruining the ride.
Pros: The delete pipe is literally a fraction of the cost and makes the V8 sound insane.
Best choice: Stick to the delete pipe first to see if it's loud enough for ur taste. Basically, i'd also throw on some H&R Wheel Spacers 15mm to flush the wheels out. it makes a HUGE difference in how the car feels, tbh. gl!
So basically the consensus is tunes and suspension are the go-to mods for the R-75. But honestly, I am kinda cautious about messing with the final year model too much. Safety FIRST, right? If youre gonna go faster, you gotta stop better. I would skip the power for a second and look at EBC Yellowstuff Brake Pads DP42145R or Goodridge Phantom Stainless Steel Brake Lines. Seriously, keep it reliable and SAFE. gl!
> I am currently looking into VelocityAP tunes and maybe some Eventuri intakes to let that supercharger breathe. just seeing this now... curious about one thing: are you tracking this or just street driving?? i ask cuz i actually had issues with VelocityAP Stage 2 Performance Tune being way too aggressive compared to Viezu V8 ECU Tune. VAP is raw vs Viezu is smooth... honestly Eventuri Carbon Fiber Intake System was disappointing for sound, basically just more hiss. what’s the main goal tho?
