I’ve recently picked up a Jaguar XJR and I’m ready to unlock a bit more potential. I’m specifically looking for advice on pulley upgrades, intake kits, and exhaust setups that actually provide a noticeable boost. Does anyone have experience with specific brands that balance power with that classic Jag refinement? What are the absolute essentials to start with?

+1 to what was said earlier, but honestly, before you push more boost with a pulley, you HAVE to prioritize cooling. Heat soak is the real Jag killer. I'd definitely swap the stock intercooler pump for a Bosch 0392022002 High Flow Electric Water Pump and maybe look into the VAP VelocityAP Jaguar XJR Performance Exhaust if you want that growl without losing the refinement. Safety first, or you're just gonna lose power once the engine gets hot anyway! gl!

Oh man, congrats on the XJR! I've been down this rabbit hole with mine and it’s honestly sooo worth it. For your situation, I would suggest starting with the supercharger pulley... it’s basically the best bang for your buck. I went with the Powerhouse Jaguar XJR 1.5lb Upper Supercharger Pulley Upgrade and the difference in low-end torque was actually wild.

Here is what I recommend for the essentials:

* Pulley: That Powerhouse one I mentioned is great, but don't go too aggressive or you'll heat soak the engine.
* Intake: I'm using the Mina Gallery Jaguar XJR Performance Intake Kit which adds a nice growl without ruining the refinement.
* Cooling: Seriously, get a Eurotoys Jaguar XJR Upgraded Intercooler Pump because these cars get hot fast when you push 'em.

But yeah, just be careful with the exhaust... if you go too loud you lose that classic Jag vibe. Have you looked at the cooling mods yet? Honestly, keeping things cool is highkey the most important part once you start adding boost. Good luck!!

Like someone mentioned, cooling is priority but honestly everyone jumps straight to the most expensive gear. I've been down this path and unfortunately a lot of these performance intake kits are not as good as expected... total waste of money for the actual gains. I had issues with fitment on the boutique brands and they just felt flimsy. If you want to save your cash, honestly just get a K&N 33-2273 High Performance Replacement Air Filter. It is way more budget friendly and stays in the stock box which actually protects it from engine heat better than some of those open cone setups. Also, for the exhaust, maybe skip the overpriced boutique stuff. The Adamesh Jaguar XJR Stainless Steel Exhaust System is a solid alternative that sounds great but is much easier on the wallet. Dont go overboard too fast tho... these cars get finicky when you push them too hard without a solid plan.
