I just picked up my EV6 GT yesterday and honestly the piano black interior is already making me lose my mind. I barely touched the center console and it looks like a crime scene of fingerprints and dust already. Im looking at protective gear before I ruin this car because I spent way too much money to have it looking like a mess in a week.

Im torn between a few options for the floor mats because I live in the PNW and the rain is basically starting tomorrow. My logic was to go with WeatherTech because everyone knows them and they are reliable but then I saw these TuxMat ones online and they look way more premium for the GT interior. WeatherTech feels a bit like a work truck material while TuxMat covers more of the side walls which seems better for mud? But then I read they might be a pain to clean if they get really gritty so I dont know if the extra coverage is worth the hassle of scrubbing them.

Then there is the screen protector thing. I was thinking just to buy the cheapest one on Amazon but I saw the Spigen one is like forty bucks which feels like a total ripoff for a piece of glass. But people say it fits the curve better and has less glare. Is the fit actually that different? I really dont want bubbles on a brand new car screen but spending that much on a protector is annoying when I already spent a fortune on the car itself.

Also looking at storage stuff because the center area is basically a giant black hole and my phone just slides around everywhere. I saw a couple of those drop-in organizers:

  • Topfit tray
  • BestEvMod lower console organizer

I have a 500 dollar budget for all this stuff right now and I need it all here by next Friday before we head out for a road trip to the coast. My logic is telling me to get the better mats but then I might have to cheap out on the console stuff and the screen protector. Is it worth overspending on the mats or should I just get the basic stuff and call it a day...

Seriously, get TuxMat Kia EV6 Floor Mats! They look amazing and you wont regret the extra coverage. Also, the BestEvMod Lower Console Organizer is a total lifesaver!

The piano black is a nightmare for sure. Instead of just cleaning it constantly, maybe look into the BestEvMod Matte Black Console Wrap for Kia EV6. It covers the shiny plastic so you dont see every speck of dust. If you're worried about cleaning TuxMats, the 3D MAXpider KAGU Floor Mats for Kia EV6 are a solid middle ground. They look high-end but the material is a closed-cell foam that doesnt soak up water, so they're much easier to spray down and dry faster. About the screen, the price for the Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Kia EV6 Glas.tR Slim is mostly for the matte coating and the alignment frame. Cheap Amazon ones are often just flat glass that doesnt handle the slight curve well, or they're too reflective. In the PNW where the light is always changing, that anti-glare is actually worth the premium. For the storage gap:

  • The Topfit Center Console Armrest Storage Box Tray is the easiest way to add a top layer to that deep bin.
  • It keeps smaller stuff like coins or keys from getting buried. Definitely browse the Kia EV6 subreddits or the EV6Owners forums. People post a lot of photos of how different mats fit the GT specifically because of the neon accents and seat clearance. Should help you decide before your trip next week.

Regarding what #2 said about "The piano black is a nightmare for sure...", I agree. The material has low surface hardness, making it basically a magnet for micro-scratches. I think the factory screen uses an etched anti-glare finish. Not sure but adding a low-quality protector might increase the reflection delta, which is problematic in the PNW gray light. Check the light transmission specs first so you dont regret the purchase.
