What are the absolute must-have interior accessories for a new Kia EV9 that you guys actually use every day? I'm finally taking delivery of a Land trim in that light gray interior next month and I'm lowkey stressing about keeping it clean. We live in the Pacific Northwest so its constantly muddy and I've got two kids under ten who basically treat car seats like a buffet line.

I spent some time looking at those TuxMat floor liners because people say they have better coverage than the official Kia ones but then I read a few posts saying they're a nightmare to install around the sliding center console and I really dont want to mess up the tracks or have the mat bunching up when I move the seats. Also been looking at those tempered glass screen protectors for the massive panoramic display. Part of me thinks its overkill but I just know a stray Lego or a juice box is gonna hit that screen eventually.

Is there anything else I'm missing for the 7-seater layout that helps with storage? The open space under the console is cool but stuff just flies around when I take corners and it feels like a waste of space. Trying to stay under a 500 dollar budget for the initial setup before our first big road trip to the coast. If you found a specific organizer or something that actually fits that weird gap let me know...

Regarding what #2 said about "Sadly, most organizers feel cheap.BestEvMod EV9 Console Organizer..."

  • I have to agree. Tried a few of those supposedly custom ones and they were just... flimsy. Not worth the markup at all. Since you are on a budget, honestly just go to a home goods store and find a soft-sided felt bin. Currently using a Target Brightroom Felt Storage Bin Small under the bridge and it doesn't rattle or slide around like the plastic ones do. For the seats, especially with kids and PNW mud, maybe look at some Gorilla Grip Car Seat Protector Water Resistant. They aren't the prettiest but they save that light gray fabric from juice spills and muddy boots. It is way cheaper than a full detail later. Sucks that we have to cover up such a nice interior tho... but kids will be kids. Good luck with the Land delivery!

Congrats on the Land! Its a beast of a car and that light interior is gorgeous but yeah... kids and PNW rain is basically a recipe for disaster lol. Ive been running my 7-seater for a few months now and honestly im pretty satisfied with how its holding up.

  • Floor liners are a must but you gotta be careful with the sliding console. The clearance is tighter than people realize. If the mat is even a fraction of an inch too high, the console motor hits resistance and trips the safety sensors. I went with high-walled mats and they work well, but I had to spend twenty minutes making sure the material was tucked perfectly flat near the tracks. If it bunches up, you risk stressing that motor.
  • For the screen, definitely go tempered glass with a 9H rating. I was worried about glare but the clarity is actually better than the factory plastic. Just a warning tho: avoid the cheap film ones. They can mess with the capacitive touch sensitivity and sometimes get bubbly in the PNW humidity.
  • That bottom console gap is useless without a custom tray. I found one that divides it into sections and it works well for keeping heavy stuff from sliding into the driver footwell during corners. Honestly, that empty space is a safety hazard if a juice box rolls under your brake pedal.
  • Big tip: watch out for the air vents under the front seats. If you get mats that are too tall or throw storage bags back there, you will block the HVAC flow to the rear passengers and the system will work twice as hard to stabilize the cabin temp. You should easily stay under your 500 dollar limit for all this stuff... maybe even have enough left over for some decent seat back protectors.
