I just picked up my brand new Kia EV9 yesterday and honestly Im still staring at it in the driveway because its so pretty lol but I am also like totally lost?? This is my first electric car and my first brand new car in like ten years so I feel like a dinosaur trying to figure out all the buttons and screens. Its honestly a bit overwhelming how much tech is in there and I have no idea where to start.
We live in Seattle so its already raining and I realized today that I dont have any floor mats or anything and the kids are already bringing mud in... I have about 500 dollars left in my budget for some extra stuff but I dont even know what I need or what people usually buy for these things. Do I need seat covers since the seats are that weird vegan leather stuff?? Or like organizers for that giant space between the front seats? I feel so dumb asking this but what are the actual must-have things I should get to keep it nice and maybe make it easier to live with everyday?
I really want to protect the floors before the kids ruin them completely so if anyone has tips on what brands actually fit this specific car let me know cause I dont want to buy the wrong thing...
Saw your post this morning and honestly, I am so satisfied with my EV9 too. Before you spend that 500 bucks, are you running the 6-seater or the 7-seater layout? It makes a huge difference for floor coverage. I saved a ton by grabbing the Vancool All-Weather Cargo Mat for Kia EV9 for the trunk area. It works well for muddy gear without breaking the bank like the OEM stuff.
Congrats on the new EV9! I felt the same way when I got mine, just totally overwhelmed but so happy with the choice. Since you are dealing with Seattle rain, floor mats are definitely the first priority. I am really satisfied with the BestEvMod All-Weather Floor Mats for Kia EV9 6-Passenger because they fit like a glove and cost way less than the official Kia ones. Honestly, dont bother with seat covers right away because that vegan leather is surprisingly durable and easy to wipe down. To handle that huge open space between the seats, I use a Spigen Center Console Organizer for Kia EV9 and it works well for keeping things tidy. I also added a Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Kia EV9 Dual Screen to keep those massive screens clean from kid fingerprints. You can get all of this and stay way under your 500 budget, which is a big win.
Unfortunately, generic seat covers often don't account for the EV9s specific airbag locations. I found the material quality on basic brands quite disappointing and they just don't fit right.
