Which cargo organizer is actually worth the money for the new Kia Sportage Hybrid? I just brought home my 2024 Sportage Hybrid SX Prestige last week and I am already realizing the trunk is gonna be a mess if I dont get some kind of system in place. The battery under the floor makes the cargo area feel a bit different than my old RAV4 and I dont want stuff sliding into the side gaps all the time.

I am currently torn between three different setups. First is the official Kia folding cargo organizer which I can get from the dealer for like $80 but it looks a bit flimsy in the photos? My second option is the Starlings Car Trunk Organizer since it has those tie-down straps and looks really heavy duty. Then there is the Drive Auto one which is way cheaper on Amazon but I worry itll just slide all over the carpet since the Sportage floor is kinda slick.

I really need to stay under $75 if possible and I am mostly using it for grocery hauls and carrying my sons muddy soccer gear around on weekends. I live in a pretty hilly area so things are definitely gonna be shifting around back there if the organizer isnt secure. Does the OEM one actually fit the dimensions better or should I just go with a high-rated third party one that has more compartments? Just curious what fits the 2023/2024 floor layout best...

^ This. Late but I've tried many over the years and the Drive Auto Car Trunk Organizer Collapsible Reinforced Straps is a total steal.

  • super cheap
  • wont slide Stays put on hills.

Honestly, i went through this exact thing with my hybrid! Those hills are no joke and a slick floor is a mess. I skipped the OEM one cause it felt way too flimsy tbh.

Ive been around the block with Kia cargo areas for a long time now and honestly i gotta disagree with the fancy fabric organizers. Over the years ive found that anything made of cloth eventually becomes a sponge for smells especially with muddy soccer gear involved. I remember a few years back i spent way too much on a premium organizer for my old rig and it just sagged after two weeks of groceries. When my kids mud-caked cleats got tossed in there it was basically ruined because you cant just hose those things down. My current setup is way simpler and way more cost-effective:

  • Two heavy duty plastic storage totes (the ones with the snap-on lids)
  • A basic rubber cargo liner to stop the sliding
  • A single bungee cord hooked to the side tie-downs It cost me maybe thirty bucks total and its basically indestructible. Since you mentioned the floor is slick and you live in a hilly area the bins are heavy enough to stay put if you wedge them right. Plus when they get gross from the field you just take them out and spray them with a hose. Way better than trying to scrub fabric in my experience.
