Just got a 2024 Sportage Hybrid for weekend hiking and need a cargo liner. Budget is $200. Im torn between the OEM Kia all-weather mat and the TuxMat. The OEM seems simpler but TuxMat covers more. Which one fits the hybrid trunk layout better and holds up to muddy boots?

In my experience with SUV cargo areas over the years, choosing the right liner depends on how you use the space. I've tried both of these on the newer Sportage layout. Here is how they stack up for muddy hiking gear:

  • Kia Sportage Hybrid OEM All-Weather Cargo Mat: This fits the hybrid trunk floor perfectly. Its made of a heavy-duty rubber that is super easy to pull out and hose down after a hike. But it lacks high side walls, so dirty water can still spill onto the carpet.
  • TuxMat Cargo Liner for Kia Sportage Hybrid: This offers unmatched coverage. It goes way up the sides and the back of the seats. The material looks great, though the textured surface takes a bit more scrubbing to clean than the OEM rubber. For hiking and muddy boots, I recommend the TuxMat. That extra side wall protection is worth it.
