Who has the absolute best deals on Kias right now because I am getting desperate?

I saw some Jersey lots claiming no markups online but then Reddit says they just hide it in 3k ceramic coating packages. I need a Telluride under 50k for a cross-country move next month and the prices are making me crazy...

Exactly! Those ceramic coatings are just markup in disguise and it makes me so mad!! I remember when I was hunting for my Kia Telluride LX AWD, walking out of three places because they wouldnt stop with the fees. Found a small-town dealer that was amazing and they dont play games! Got mine for under 48k. TL;DR: Small rural dealers usually skip those fake add-on fees.

I feel your pain with those shady Jersey markups. Being super cautious was my move because I wanted something reliable for my kids. My search led me to the Kia Telluride EX AWD and I am honestly so satisfied with how it has handled. Finding a dealer that does MSRP without those sneaky ceramic coating games is key. If you really need to stay under 50k, checking out the Kia Telluride S FWD is a smart play compared to the pricier trims. The S trim works well because you get the core safety suite without the massive price jump of the EX or SX. No complaints with the reliability so far. Places like Fowler Kia or Arundel Kia are usually the safest bets for honest pricing tho. Let me know if you need help looking up their current stock... I am around.

I went through this exact same headache last year trying to prep for a big haul down south with my family and it was a total nightmare. I looked at those Jersey dealerships too and had a similar experience where the price on the sticker was basically a total lie... unfortunately, once you get into the finance office, they hit you with those mandatory ceramic packages that add zero value to the actual safety of the vehicle. It really bummed me out because I used to trust them, but the way they handle these no markup claims feels so dishonest. My experience with several lots in the tri-state area was just not as good as expected, and I ended up walking away because the technical reliability of the sales process just wasnt there. If youre moving cross-country, you need something that wont leave you stranded or eat your budget. My advice:

  • Look into any mid-size SUV from Toyota because their safety ratings are usually better for long hauls
  • Check out Honda lots further inland, maybe toward PA or Delaware, where they seem to have more respect for the MSRP
  • Just get a reliable used SUV from a brand known for longevity instead of fighting for a new Kia I ended up going with a different brand altogether because I just couldnt justify the markup for a car that might have long-term glitches. Honestly, just get any SUV from a more established Japanese brand and save yourself the headache. It is not worth the stress before a move... especially when you need to focus on safety for such a long trip.
