I just picked up my new Kia EV6 and I'm absolutely loving the car, but the stock carpet mats are already starting to look a bit rough. With the wet weather season fast approaching, I really need a solid set of all-weather mats to handle mud and spills. I’ve been looking at the OEM ones, but I've heard mixed reviews about their coverage compared to brands like TuxMat or WeatherTech. I’m particularly interested in a set that fits the unique flat floor perfectly and maybe includes protection for the frunk and cargo area too. For those who have tried a few options, which brand offers the best edge-to-edge protection and durability for the price?

sooo I was super paranoid about liquid getting near the battery seals when I first got mine! Quick question - are you looking for high-wall 'bucket' style or low-profile?

1. 3D MAXpider KAGU Series All-Weather Floor Liners for Kia EV6 — amazing technical fit!
2. Integrated safety anchors.

Methodically checking your floor clips is vital so nothing ever jams the pedals tho!!

In my experience, before you drop a ton of cash, you basically gotta look at the material specs. Most budget mats use cheap rubber or PVC, but you really want TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer). It’s way more stable across temp ranges, so it wont curl up or smell like chemicals when the car gets hot... which is kinda important for an EV since we dont have engine fumes to mask it lol.

For your situation, I would suggest looking at Lasfit Floor Mats for Kia EV6 2022-2024. They use 3D injection molding, so the fit is actually really precise for that unique flat floor. They’re usually way cheaper than the premium brands but still give you those high walls to catch mud and spills. Just be careful when installing; make sure those floor safety anchors actually click in so the mat doesnt slide around near the pedals!!

If youre looking for the cargo and frunk area too, maybe consider the BestEvMod Lower Trunk Mat and Frunk Mat for Kia EV6. It's a really solid value play for the price. Honestly, the stock carpet mats are just gonna trap moisture against the floor, which might lead to some mildew smell later on... so swapping them now is a smart move for ur car's interior longevity. Tbh, I was super worried about fitment at first too, but these custom TPE ones usually snap right in perfectly. Anyway, hope that helps you save a few bucks!! gl

I totally agree about the TPE material being a game changer! I've been doing a ton of research because I'm kinda obsessed with the specs, and honestly, the chemical smell in a closed EV is something I'm super worried about. TPE is definitely the way to go for stability. Looking at the market analysis for these, it seems like there are two other big players that haven't been mentioned yet:

  • Smartliner All-Weather Custom Fit Floor Mats
  • BestEvMod All Weather Floor Mats for Kia EV6 From what I've gathered, the Smartliner mats are basically the budget-friendly alternative to the bigger names but they still use that 3D scanning tech. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the BestEvMod ones are specifically designed to handle the flat floor transition a bit differently near the center console? I'm still a beginner with all this technical stuff, but I'm curious if anyone has measured the wall height on these? I want to make sure if I spill a whole drink, it's actually gonna stay in the mat and not ruin the floor electronics. Also, is there a difference in the trunk mat fit if you have the Meridian sound system or not? I've heard that might change the side panel shapes in the back!

Building on the earlier suggestion, I saw this earlier but just now responding... honestly, I have been pretty disappointed with the fitment on most stuff I bought online. I had issues with some mats bunching up near the pedals which is basically a total nightmare for safety. Unfortunately, finding something that stays put on that flat floor is harder than it looks. If you are doing the install yourself, definitely make sure the clips actually snap in. If they dont, return them immediately.

  • Findway F518 3D Car Floor Liners for Kia EV6 are nice because they dont look like industrial rubber but still catch all the mud.
  • YitaMotor Custom Fit Floor Mats for Kia EV6 have been surprisingly okay for the price, though not as premium as I expected. Just make sure you check if your car is the RWD or AWD model before ordering the frunk mat... they are actually different sizes and wont fit if you get the wrong one. Tbh, I wasted a week shipping back the wrong set because I didnt check.

In my experience, I actually had issues with the Kia EV6 OEM All-Weather Floor Mats—they were super disappointing. Unfortunately, WeatherTech FloorLiner for Kia EV6 is also way too slippery when wet. I finally went with TuxMat Kia EV6 Floor Mats and the TuxMat Kia EV6 Trunk Mat. They literally offer the best edge-to-edge protection, but basically, you gotta ensure they're clipped in perfectly. I'd honestly consult a guide to make sure theyre secure. Good luck!

Quick reply while im waiting for my EV6 to finish charging... Honestly, the best choice really depends on how messy your winters actually get and how much you wanna spend. Some of the big name brands are basically overkill for some owners while others are worth every penny. I just have a couple questions to help narrow it down:

  • whats the max budget you're willing to drop for the whole cabin plus the cargo area?
  • do you actually need those high bucket-style walls for heavy mud and snow, or is a lower profile okay for just everyday spills? It makes a big difference cuz some of the boutique brands charge a massive premium for aesthetics when you might just need pure utility. Let us know so we can point you to the right value picks.
