Hi everyone! I just picked up a new Lexus RX and I’m desperate to keep the interior looking pristine. With winter approaching, I know the factory carpet mats won't survive the mud and snow. I’m looking for all-weather mats that offer a perfect, laser-cut fit so they don’t slide around or leave gaps. I’ve been debating between the Lexus OEM rubber mats and aftermarket options like WeatherTech or TuxMat, especially since I've heard some provide much better coverage for the dead pedal area. I want something durable but not so 'rugged' that it ruins the luxury feel of the cabin. For those with an RX, which brand provides the best balance of total protection and high-end style?

Respectfully, I'd consider another option before dropping $200+. I've had a different experience using Husky Liners WeatherBeater Floor Mats for Lexus RX350 and honestly, they're such a steal. You get that total dead pedal coverage without paying the 'luxury tax.' They aren't as flashy as TuxMat maybe, but they're super durable and fit perfect. For the price? It just works. Definitely a solid, budget-friendly choice for your new ride!! gl

Similar situation here - I was soooo stressed about spending $200+ on mats right after buying the car!! I mean, I love the RX but I really had to watch my budget after that down payment... I've been researching the technical specs for weeks because I'm kinda a beginner at this and honestly, I'm super cautious about anything that might slide near the pedals.

- I basically spent hours looking at the WeatherTech FloorLiner for Lexus RX but they felt a bit too "truck-like" and rugged for the interior vibe. Plus, they're pretty pricey.
- I ended up going with a more budget-friendly route, the SMARTLINER All Weather Custom Fit Floor Mats for Lexus RX 350, which I found for about $140. I was literally so excited when they arrived cuz the price was such a steal!
- The technical fit is actually FANTASTIC and they have these safety retention clips so they won't budge. I even had a mechanic friend look at them to make sure they were safe and wouldn't catch on the gas pedal lol!

It's been a great journey finding a deal that doesn't sacrifice that luxury style... do you think the high-end brands are actually worth the extra $100 tho??

Just catching up on this thread... congrats on the new RX!! I get being stressed about keeping it pristine, but tbh, my biggest concern is always safety. You really dont want a mat thats gonna slide around and maybe jam ur pedals—I’ve heard some horror stories about that and it’s highkey terrifying.

I'm not 100% sure which brand is 'perfect' for the newest model, but I think the key is making sure they use the factory retention clips. If they don't lock in, they're a no-go for me. I mean, even if you go with the Husky ones already suggested, double-check those clips.

Here is what I’ve gathered from looking into this:
* 3D MAXpider: Iirc, these are awesome because they have a texture that looks more high-end than basic rubber. Plus, the backing is like velcro so they literally won't budge.
* WeatherTech: Super reliable for fit, though I guess they can feel a bit industrial for a Lexus.
* Lexus OEM: Look the best, but like someone mentioned, the coverage is kinda mid.

Honestly, I'd probably lean towards those 3D ones if you want that balance of luxury look and 'stuck-to-the-floor' safety. I’ve been really satisfied with that style because they don't feel like a truck mat but still handle the mud. idk, just make sure whatever you buy actually clicks into those floor anchors!! Anyway, hope that helps a bit. Cheers!

yo, congrats on the new RX! i've been there and honestly, i was pretty disappointed with the first set i bought. basically, i've looked at a few paths:

- Lexus OEM: Look great, but unfortunately, the coverage is subpar. I had issues with salt stains because they don't cover enough... definitely not as good as expected.
- WeatherTech: Literally bulletproof, but they look kinda 'work truck' to me and don't feel high-end.
- TuxMat: Highkey the best coverage for that dead pedal you mentioned, but they’re pricey.

I've got a solid recommendation based on my own trial and error, but I wanna ask two things first:
1. Are you looking for a 'set it and forget it' year-round mat, or just something for the deep winter?
2. Is the visual texture of the mat a dealbreaker for you in a luxury car?

Let me know and I'll tell you which one is worth the cash! gl
