What are the best off-road accessories for the new Lexus GX?

Ive built three 460s but this GX550 is a total curveball. I need rock sliders that dont require trimming the rocker panels because I am NOT cutting into a new truck yet. My logic was that 300 series parts might cross over but the frame mounts look weird. Moab trip is in three weeks... what actually fits today?

@Reply #2 - good point! Those KDSS lines are tucked right where most slider brackets want to live. I spent way too much time under my buddies 300 series trying to retrofit old LC200 plates and it was a total disaster because the gussets on the TNGA-F frame are positioned differently... basically, the geometry changed more than people realize. If you are looking at specific tech specs, keep an eye on these things for the GX550:Frame mounting: Look for sleeved bolts rather than just clamping the frame.Material: CBI Offroad Lexus GX 550 Rock Sliders DOM Steel are usually my go-to for Moab because DOM handles the lateral stress better than HREW.Clearance: Make sure the step plate doesnt trap mud against the door seal. The cost on high-end DOM can get spicy, usually around 1,200 dollars plus freight, but honestly, it beats a 4k body shop bill. I found that using a floor jack with a wood block makes the solo install way easier since these things weigh a ton. Also, check the hardware grade... make sure they are sending Grade 8 or Class 10.9 bolts because the shear force on a heavy GX is no joke. Lmk if you want the torque specs I found for the frame rails!

Dude, the GX550 is such an amazing upgrade from the 460! I totally get the hesitation about cutting into that fresh bodywork... i wouldnt want to touch it with a saw either lol. For a true no-cut install thatll get you ready for Moab in time, you absolutely have to look at Westcott Designs Lexus GX550 Rock Sliders. They are incredible because they use the factory mounting points on the frame and the fitment is basically perfect. You dont have to trim the rocker panels at all! Another fantastic choice right now is the Victory 4x4 Lexus GX550 Blitz Rock Sliders because they designed them specifically for the new frame geometry. The TNGA-F platform is a different beast but these brands have already nailed the R&D. Youre gonna love how it performs on the trails!
