I recently picked up a 2022 Lincoln Navigator, and while I love the luxury feel, I’m looking to add a bit more 'pop' to the exterior with some chrome upgrades. I’ve been looking at mirror covers and maybe some pillar post accents, but I want to make sure I don't go overboard and make it look tacky. I'm specifically looking for high-quality pieces that match the factory finish perfectly. Has anyone tried the stainless steel window sills or upgraded door handle covers? I’m also curious if there are specific brands that hold up well against car washes and weathering. What are the best exterior chrome trim upgrades you've found that actually enhance the Navigator's look?

Not to disagree, but I've had a different experience when it comes to those high-end stainless brands. Honestly, I think you're gonna spend WAY more than you need to for that 'pop' you're looking for! After messing around with chrome upgrades for 15+ years, I've found some budget-friendly gems that literally look identical to factory trim without the Lincoln tax, you know?

If you want that clean look without going overboard, check these out:
* Snailfly Chrome Pillar Posts for 2022 Lincoln Navigator - These are usually around $30-$40 and the fitment is surprisingly spot on.
* Trims HD Chrome Door Handle Covers - These run about $25 and actually use 3M tape that holds up in the car wash.
* Cowles Products Custom Chrome 1-Inch Molding - If you're feeling handy, you can do custom window sills for under $20.

Basically, dont feel like you HAVE to drop $200+ on QAA stuff. Just make sure you prep the surface with rubbing alcohol first and it'll stay on forever, right? Good luck!

Respectfully, I'd consider another option before you start sticking things on your 2022. I mean, those stainless sills look okay, but tbh the adhesive is usually what fails first, not the metal. I've seen Omac Stainless Steel Window Trim for around $45 and it's decent, but seriously, the risk of it flying off in a car wash makes me nervous. I'd honestly just stick with a high-quality wax like Collinite No. 845 Insulator Wax to make the factory chrome really POP instead of adding more layers. Safety first, you know?

Wait really?? Thats actually super helpful. I always thought it was the other way around.

Honestly, watch out for cheap plastic door handle covers... they literally yellow and peel in like six months if u live somewhere sunny. In my experience, going with Putco or QAA for stainless steel window sills is the way to go cuz they actually match that factory Lincoln finish perfectly. Mirror covers can look kinda tacky if they're too bulky, so I'd stick to the pillars and sills for that high-end look. Good luck!

Building on the earlier suggestion, the adhesive is really the make-or-break part of these upgrades. If you're comparing brands, Putco 402636 Stainless Steel Chrome Pillar Posts are worth the extra bit of cash because they use actual 3M VHB tape. Cheaper brands use knock-off adhesive that fails after a few hot days. I've also found QAA 6pc Stainless Steel Pillar Post Trim to be slightly thicker than the Snailfly ones mentioned earlier, which gives it a more flush, factory look. Another decent option for the window line is Coastline Accessories 304 Grade Stainless Steel Window Trim. Its 304 grade steel, which is important since it doesnt pit or rust like the cheaper 430 grade stuff. Just make sure you prep the surface with rubbing alcohol first or nothing is gonna stick long term, regardless of the brand you pick.
