Hey everyone! I recently picked up a W205 C-Class and while I love the car, the gloss black center console is a total fingerprint magnet and already has some hairline scratches. I’m looking to swap it out for some high-quality carbon fiber trim to give the cabin a sportier, more premium feel. I’ve been looking at both full replacement pieces and the stick-on overlays, but I’m worried about the fitment and whether the weave pattern will match across the dashboard and door inserts. Does anyone have experience with brands like RW Carbon or even the kits found on eBay? I’m looking for something that looks OEM and won’t peel in the summer heat. Which specific interior carbon fiber kits or vendors would you recommend for the best fit and finish?

For your situation, basically just skip the cheap stickers and go with RW Carbon Mercedes W205 Carbon Fiber Interior Trim because the fitment is literally 100% OEM spec and it wont peel like eBay kits.

Seconding the recommendation above regarding RW Carbon! honestly, that piano black is the absolute worst part of the W205 interior... i have no idea what Mercedes was thinking lol. I've been doing a ton of market research since I'm also on a budget, and while the RW Carbon Mercedes W205 Carbon Fiber Center Console Replacement is definitely the gold standard for fitment, it can be a bit pricey if you're just starting out.
I've been looking into Autotecknic Dry Carbon Interior Trim for W205 as another solid mid-range option. It's usually a bit cheaper than RW but still way better than those $30 eBay stickers that basically peel off the first time your car sits in the sun. If you're worried about the weave matching, I'd suggest sticking to one brand for the whole cabin. Mixing and matching between vendors is risky because the gloss levels and weave direction almost never line up perfectly. Just be careful with the install—dropping a screw into the dash is a nightmare!

I totally agree with the sentiment that the piano black has to go, honestly it's such a headache to keep clean you know? But from an owner who's had a W205 for a while now, I’d suggest looking into the DMP Car Design Carbon Fiber Center Console if you want something that stays looking premium over the long haul. My quick tip: regardless of which brand you pick, make sure it specifically mentions UV-resistant clear coating. I’ve seen some of these kits turn yellow or even start to delaminate after a few summers in the sun, and that’s a total nightmare to fix... so basically, pay for the quality up front. Also, if you’re doing a full replacement instead of an overlay, just be super careful with the plastic clips on the AC vents when you swap them over. They're way more fragile than they look and you definitely don't want to be hunting for replacement clips at the dealership, right?

So i actually just started modding my own W205 a few months back and i totally feel u on that piano black center piece... it is literally the worst for scratches! I was pretty worried about spending a ton of money as a beginner, so i ended up going with a mid-range overlay kit from an online vendor i found on a forum.
Here is what i have learned so far:
* Stick-on overlays are actually way better than i expected if u prep the surface with alcohol first. Mine has survived a 95-degree week with no peeling at all so far!
* It is basically a huge money saver compared to the full replacement pieces. I think i spent like 1/4th of what the high-end brands charge.
* The weave match is kinda tricky tho... mine is slightly off from the door inserts if u look closely, but honestly, nobody ever notices but me.
I am super happy with how it turned out because it looks sooo much cleaner than the scratched plastic. Just take ur time with the alignment!
