Hey everyone! I just picked up a 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander last week, and I am absolutely loving the ride so far. It’s such a step up from my old SUV, but now that I have it in the driveway, I’m realizing it’s a bit of a blank canvas. I want to make sure I’m protecting my investment while also making it more functional for my daily needs.

We do a lot of weekend camping trips and have two golden retrievers, so I’m definitely looking for high-quality all-weather floor mats and a solid cargo liner that can handle some mud and fur. I’ve looked at the official Mitsubishi accessories catalog, but the prices are a bit steep, so I’m wondering if aftermarket options like WeatherTech or TuxMat are actually better fits for the current generation's interior. Also, I’m considering adding some crossbars for a roof box—does anyone have experience with the OEM ones versus brands like Thule or Yakima in terms of wind noise on the highway?

I’ve got a budget of around $800 to get started with the essentials. For those of you who have lived with the Outlander for a while, which accessories have actually been worth the money and which ones should I skip?

Honestly, I stumbled upon this discussion and since you mentioned those golden retrievers, I totally feel u... those guys can make a mess lol! Since you have a budget of $800, you gotta be kinda strategic about what you pick up first so you dont blow it all on one thing. I would suggest checking out these options because they're basically lifesavers for dog owners: * Husky Liners Weatherbeater Floor Mats for 2022-2024 Mitsubishi Outlander: I know all-weather mats were already mentioned, but these are a bit more flexible than the real stiff ones and I think they're easier to pull out and spray down when they get muddy? I've heard they're really durable for the price.
* Canvasback Cargo Liner for Mitsubishi Outlander 2022-2024: Seriously, if you have dogs, you might want to consider this. It's a textured material that hair doesn't stick to and it covers the back of the seats when they're folded down too. It's a game changer for the fur situation.
* Yakima JetStream Crossbars 50 inch Black: For the roof, these are designed to be super quiet. You'll also need the Yakima SkyLine Towers to mount them safely to your rails. Be careful with the OEM bars cuz they can sometimes whistle at high speeds... which is honestly sooo annoying on long camping trips!! Just make sure to double-check the fitment for the 2024 model year before you buy anything. Good luck with the new ride, it's such a cool car!! 👍

For your situation, LOVE the 2024 model! Tbh, skip the OEM stuff. - Mats: TuxMat All-Weather Floor Mats for 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander beat WeatherTech FloorLiner for 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander cuz they cover way more carpet—clutch for dog hair!
- Bars: Thule WingBar Edge Crossbar System is way quieter than Mitsubishi OEM Roof Rack Crossbars. Definately go aftermarket to save cash. Basically essential for camping! gl!

For your situation, safety and fit are priority #1. I really recommend the 3D MAXpider Kagu Series Floor Mats—the backing is insane so they literally never slide near the pedals. For those camping trips, the Yakima JetStream Crossbar System is a super reliable choice for the roof. It’s pretty quiet and much more secure than the generic stuff. Both should fit your $800 budget nicely! Good luck!
