I’m finally taking my 911 Turbo to the track next month! Since it’s such a heavy, powerful beast, I’m looking for must-have gear. I've already considered high-temp brake fluid and a precision tire pressure gauge, but what else is essential? Are there specific lap timers or cooling accessories that work best for this platform?

+1 to what was said earlier, heat is the real enemy with the Turbo! Since your gonna be pushing that much weight, you honestly gotta look at Pagid RSC1 Brake Pads because they handle the thermal load way better than stock pads without killing your rotors. Also, maybe think about a Zunsport Front Grille Set to keep track debris from puncturing those expensive radiators up front. GL!

In my experience, you definitely need to manage that heat! Since the Turbo is so heavy, I'd seriously recommend grabbing the Garmin Catalyst Driving Performance Optimizer for real-time coaching and lap timing. It's literally amazing for finding time in the corners. Also, grab a Longacre 52003 Digital Tire Pressure Gauge cuz keeping your pressures dialed as they get hot is basically essential. Honestly, those two items totally changed my track days!! gl!

Sooo just catching up on this thread! Warning: dont sleep on your brake cooling... the 911 Turbo is a BEAST and you'll *cook* your seals if you aren't careful. For a budget-friendly fix, check out the GT3 lower control arm ducts; they're way cheaper than a full brake kit and bolt right on! Also, use a free app like Harry’s LapTimer vs buying a $500 unit right away. It’s basically the best value for tracking data without breaking the bank lol. gl!
