Hey everyone! I just took delivery of my new Ram ProMaster EV and I am beyond excited to get it on the road. Since it is the electric version, I am really trying to be mindful of the weight of my upfitting to maximize my range per charge. I primarily do last-mile deliveries and some light maintenance work, so I need a setup that keeps everything accessible but secure.

I’ve been looking at lightweight modular shelving and maybe some floor-mounted drawer systems, but I am a bit nervous about drilling into the floor given the battery placement. Does anyone have experience with specific racking brands or no-drill mounting kits that work well for the EV model? I would love to hear what setups you are using to stay organized without killing your range!

For your situation, i would suggest looking into the Milwaukee PACKOUT Modular Storage System instead of traditional heavy shelving. i have been doing this for years and honestly, the weight of steel racks just eats up your range. if you mount the Milwaukee PACKOUT Wall Plate to your wall panels, you avoid drilling into the floor entirely near the battery. it is super budget-friendly and keeps everything secure. another solid choice is the DECKED Drawer System for Ram ProMaster because it is made of heavy-duty composite, so it is way lighter than steel drawers. i use some Velcro Brand Heavy Duty On a Roll for smaller bins too, which sounds crazy but actually holds up well for light stuff. basically, just stick to modular plastics and use those factory tie-down points to keep things from sliding. you will be happy with the range you save!! peace.

In my experience, you basically gotta compare Ranger Design Aluminum Shelving vs Adrian Steel Composite Shelving. Aluminum is sooo durable, while composite is lighter but less rigid... honestly, the best choice is aluminum with a Legend Fleet Solutions No-Drill Floor Kit so ur not drilling near that battery!! It is basically the best setup for light maintenance without killing ur range... gl!

Just sharing my experience: I went through this exact same headache last year when I switched my rig to electric. Honestly, every pound counts when youre trying to squeeze out that extra range during winter. I initially looked at the Ranger stuff mentioned above, but I actually ended up going with the Sortimo SR5 Aluminum Shelving System because the weight-to-strength ratio is insane. It is a bit spendy, but it is super modular which helps if ur needs change. For the floor, I was also terrified of hitting those batteries!! I used the Legend Fleet Solutions StabiliGrip Composite Floor as a base. It is way lighter than plywood and won't rot. If you need drawers, check out the DECKED Van Drawer System for Ram ProMaster—it is high-density polyethylene so it is relatively light compared to old-school steel drawers, but still handles a beating. Seriously, keeping it light is basically the only way to go if you dont wanna be stuck at a charger all day lol. How much weight are you planning to haul usually??
