So my R1T Dual-Motor finally got its delivery date for next Tuesday and I am literally vibrating with excitement right now lol. I have been watching every single YouTube video I can find on this thing for months and now that it is actually happening I realized I have nothing ready for the inside. I live up in the Pacific Northwest near Seattle so the rain and mud are basically a personality trait here and I do not want to ruin that nice interior the second I step in with my boots.

I have been doing some digging on floor mats and I am stuck. I saw that Rivian sells their own all-weather mats but then I read on some subreddits that they dont have the best coverage specifically around the dead pedal area where a lot of gunk tends to fall behind the mat? Then there is the 3D Maxpider Kagu ones which people seem to love for the fit but honestly in the pictures they look a bit too much like fake carbon fiber and I am not sure if that clashes with the vegan leather vibe. I also looked at TuxMat but they look almost too fancy? Like I am going to a gala instead of a trailhead and I am worried about how they handle real muck.

Then there is the whole center console situation. That space is huge but it is basically just a giant empty bucket. I saw some plastic inserts on Amazon and then some 3D printed stuff on Etsy but I am worried the 3D printed ones will warp if it ever actually gets hot here or just feel cheap and scratchy. I really want something that makes the space usable for my sunglasses and coins and maybe a spot for my phone since the wireless charger is apparently hit or miss.

I am mainly looking for:

  • solid floor mats that actually trap water and dirt
  • a center console tray that doesnt rattle every time I hit a bump
  • maybe something for that weird open space under the main screen

Budget-wise I am trying to keep the whole interior setup under like 400 or 500 bucks if possible. I am mainly using this for taking the kids to soccer and then hitting the trails on the weekends so it needs to be tough. What are you guys actually using day-to-day that doesnt look like junk after a month? Is there a specific brand for the organizers that fits the Dual-Motor layout perfectly or is it the same as the Quad?

Late to the party here but honestly... I have been through three different setups and most were a waste of cash. I had high hopes for the stuff I found on Amazon but a lot of it just doesnt hold up or feels cheap in a truck this nice. Last winter I actually had a scary moment where a cheap mat bunched up near the accelerator. Not ideal when you are trying to navigate icy roads near Snoqualmie. I eventually swapped to LinerX Rivian R1T All-Weather Floor Mats and they have been way better. They actually cover the dead pedal properly so the PNW muck doesnt just drain onto your carpet, and they stay anchored properly so they dont slide under the pedals. For the interior storage, I tried some 3D printed stuff from Etsy but the finish was just... scratchy. It felt like it belonged in a kit car. I ended up getting the BestEvMod Center Console Organizer with Silicone Mats which is about 25 bucks. The silicone is the most important part because it stops your keys or coins from rattling around like crazy every time you hit a bump. Under that big screen, I went with the Abstract Ocean Silicone Under-Screen Storage Cubby. Most of the plastic ones I tried would slide out or vibrate, but the silicone grips the floor better. It is perfect for stashing sunglasses or a garage door opener. Just a heads up, the Dual-Motor has the same interior dimensions as the Quad, so any R1T accessories will fit fine. Dont overthink it too much, just make sure whatever you buy stays put. Safety first, right?

@Reply #1 - good point! Honestly though, I find those TuxMats a bit excessive for cleaning once mud really cakes into the crevices. In my experience, 3D MAXpider Kagu All-Weather Floor Mats offer better safety and a more secure fit, while WeatherTech FloorLiner is more durable for heavy PNW muck. For storage, the BestEvMod Center Console Tray wont rattle like those cheap 3D-printed versions. TL;DR: Kagu for daily use; WeatherTech for trails.

Congrats on the delivery! Tuesday cannot come fast enough lol. I have been putting my R1T through its paces for a while now and you are 100 percent right about the interior prep. Since you are in Seattle, you absolutely need high-walled mats. I personally swear by the TuxMat All-Weather Floor Mats for Rivian R1T. They might look a bit posh in photos but the coverage is insane... they go way higher up the sides than the OEM ones, which is a lifesaver when the kids are tracking in mud from soccer practice. They are super easy to spray down too. Regarding the console, I went through a couple of options before landing on the BestEvMod Center Console Organizer Tray for Rivian R1T. It is amazing because it comes with these silicone inserts that stop everything from rattling. It fits the Dual-Motor perfectly because the interior layout is exactly the same as the Quad. For that space under the screen, the BestEvMod Under Screen Storage Box for Rivian R1T is a total must-have. It creates a perfect little shelf for your phone or wallet so they arent flying around the cabin. You can easily grab all of this for under 350 bucks, which leaves you some extra cash for a good screen protector or some cleaning supplies! You are gonna have such a blast with this truck on the trails next weekend!
