Ugh I just got my new WRX and I'm already stressed out. I've never had a car this nice before and I feel like I'm gonna ruin the inside immediately but I have no clue what I'm doing. The dealer tried to charge me a fortune for basic stuff and I only have like $300 to spend on accessories right now after the big down payment. Everything I look at online has so many options it's just making my head spin and I'm honestly so confused.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but what are the actual must-have interior accessories for someone who knows nothing and just wants to keep the car clean? I just want it to stay nice for my commute...

In my experience with four different Subies, I've tried many setups and always bin those factory carpet mats first. I ruined my first set in a week just by existing. To keep it clean on a budget:

Spent way too much on the official Subaru seat back protectors and they were a total letdown, the velcro is weak and they just look cheap. Since you're on a budget, you gotta fix the storage situation first because the WRX cabin is basically a cave where stuff goes to die. The center console is just one big empty bucket, so I'd grab JDMFV Center Console Organizer Tray for 2022-2024 WRX so your keys arent just rattling around on bare plastic. Another thing that really disappointed me was how fast the trim gets dusty and how hot the seats get in the sun. Instead of fancy mods, just get these basics:

Just saw this. Totally agree on the mats. I've learned the hard way how moisture traps salt under there. Definitely look for high-walled liners to keep things truly sealed up.
