I finally took delivery of my Cybertruck and I am beyond excited to get it out for some off-grid camping this summer! Since the bed shape is so unique, I am having a hard time figuring out which gear actually fits the angled rails. I am specifically looking for a high-quality bed tent that can withstand some wind and some modular storage bins to keep my tools organized in the vault. I also want to take advantage of the on-board power for a portable fridge, so any recommendations on mounting brackets would be huge. Has anyone found specific brands that work perfectly with the Cybertruck's dimensions? What are your top three must-have utility or camping accessories?
In my experience, sticking with standard hardware saves a fortune. Instead of the $3,000 tent, try the Napier Backroadz Truck Tent Model 19122... its $180 and works if you tweak the straps. For storage, I grab Husky 12 Gallon Professional Duty Waterproof Storage Bin for $10. Also, the BougeRV 30 Quart Portable 12V Refrigerator fits the 17 inch vault height perfectly. Have you checked the L-track clearance yet? gl
Totally agree with the above! Definitely use L-Track Double Stud Fitting for your fridge mount so it stays put, and you're gonna want Front Runner Wolf Pack Pro bins for the vault. They're stackable and way more durable for safety than generic plastic. Honestly, dont risk loose gear flying around back there!! It’s all about keeping things locked down when you're off-grid. Good luck!
> What are your top three must-have utility or camping accessories? tbh I think the official tent is best for those rails - but maybe try generic L-track bins... iirc they basically fit perfectly and honestly save tons of cash!!
Seconding the recommendation above! Honestly, the Tesla Cybertruck Basecamp Tent is probably the safest way to go cuz those angled vault rails are sooo unique. Ngl, I am a bit cautious about 3rd party tents potentially failing in high wind if they dont seat perfectly. For the fridge, you gotta compare mounting styles:
