Which dash cam offers the best integration with a Tesla Model 3, minimizing visible wiring and maximizing functionality? Are there specific models designed to utilize the Tesla's existing power sources or Sentry Mode features? TIA.

Honestly, if you want that factory look, you basically HAVE to go with the Fitcamx Dash Cam for Tesla Model 3. It replaces the entire plastic shroud behind the rearview mirror, so it looks like it came with the car from the factory. No messy wires hanging down or anything.

  • It uses a Y-harness to pull power from the rain sensor or mirror plug
  • Installation is mostly just popping plastic clips and plugging stuff in
  • It records in 4K which is way better than the built-in Tesla cameras tbh The big thing to remember is that third-party cams dont really talk to the Tesla Sentry Mode software. They just run their own loop recording on a separate SD card. If you want something more high-end with cloud features, you could look at the BlackVue DR970X Plus, but the wiring is way more of a pain to hide. The Fitcamx is definitely the cleanest setup for a Model 3 tho.
