Given that Tesla Model 3's built-in wireless charging has been criticized for slow speeds, which aftermarket chargers offer the fastest and most reliable Qi charging? Do options like TapTes V2 or Nomad provide better performance? Considering the upcoming Qi2 standard with 15W charging and magnetic alignment, should I wait for compatible chargers? Will these chargers accommodate various phone cases and sizes, and fit the console seamlessly? What are your experiences with aftermarket wireless charging in a Model 3?

Ive tried a dozen of these over the years. The Nomad Base Station Tesla Edition looks the best, but speed-wise, its not a massive jump over the TapTes Wireless Charger V2 because theyre all limited by the cars power supply anyway. My advice? Definitely wait for the Qi2 chargers to hit the market. The magnetic alignment will finally fix the constant disconnects we all deal with. If youre in a rush, wireless just isnt it... just grab a cable for a real fast charge. Also, check your case thickness, anything over 3mm usually kills the efficiency on these aftermarket pads. The Jeda Wireless Pad V4 is decent if you cant wait, but Qi2 is gonna be the real upgrade.
