Honestly, I spent weeks looking through different threads and reading what other owners were saying before I settled on my current setup. I learned the hard way that these A8s are *realy* sensitive to the sensor frequency, and if your not careful, you'll just end up with a Christmas tree of lights on the dash. Here is what I basically learned from the community:
- Always check the manufacture date so the internal batteries aren't half dead already.
- Coding the new ones in can be a pain if they aren't 100% compatible with the Audi MMI.
- Most long-time owners seem to prefer the high-end stuff over the cheap generic ones you find on random sites. The one I got has been solid for two years now. Definately worth doing the research first so you dont have to take the tires off twice like I did!
