trying to find a CPO X7 near Philly but its a struggle. saw some listings at the main dealers but prices for 2021s are still way over my 60k budget even though some forums say they should be dropping fast. is there a dealership in the tri-state area with decent stock or am I just looking at the wrong time?

Like someone mentioned, that budget is the danger zone. Unfortunately, finding a decent CPO for 60k is basically impossible right now. I had issues with local dealers holding onto high margins because demand is still nuts... its really not as good as expected out there. You might have to look at a BMW X7 xDrive40i 2019 with higher miles to hit that price point. It sucks but those X7 prices just wont budge.

> prices for 2021s are still way over my 60k budget Tbh 60k is tough for a CPO BMW X7 xDrive40i 2021 because they still command a premium for that mild-hybrid B58 setup. I've been tracking the data and you might have better luck with a BMW X7 xDrive40i 2020.

  • 2020 X7 Pros: Usually sits around 55k-58k now, same air suspension and tech base.
  • 2020 X7 Cons: Misses the 48V starter-generator, so the auto start-stop feels way more jarring compared to the newer ones. Another option is looking at the BMW X5 xDrive40i 2021.
  • 2021 X5 Pros: Fits your budget perfectly, newer iDrive version, way more inventory in the tri-state area.
  • 2021 X5 Cons: Much smaller third row and lacks the flagship presence. Try Thompson BMW near Doylestown... they get lease returns that aren't marked up as bad as the Philly city dealers. Just make sure it has the Cold Weather Package for those PA winters. Those heated armrests are a game changer lol.

Man, I feel your pain because the market is just wild right now! I spent some time checking local listings and that 60k price point is basically the danger zone where you're competing with everyone else. You're right to be looking tho because the ride quality on these big luxury haulers is absolutely amazing! Its like driving a literal couch. But here is the thing... you gotta think about the technical side too. These massive vehicles are heavy, so they absolutely shred through tires and brake pads. If you buy right at your 60k limit, you might get hit with a 3k service bill six months later. If you really want to stay under budget, my advice is to just look at any large SUV from Mercedes-Benz. Their pre-owned inventory is usually huge and you can find some fantastic deals if you arent married to one brand! Or honestly, just go with any Audi SUV from the last few years. The cabin tech is just incredible and they feel so solid on the road. Love the way they handle the snow around Philly too... If you're stuck on that specific model, maybe skip the official certification? You can save a massive chunk of change by buying from a reputable third-party dealer and just paying for a thorough pre-purchase inspection yourself. Its way more cost-effective in the long run! TL;DR: 60k is super tight for a CPO. Look at similar sized SUVs from Mercedes-Benz or Audi instead, or drop the CPO requirement to find more inventory in your price range!
