I just picked up a new Silverado and want to protect it while keeping it functional. I’m already considering a spray-in bed liner and a hard tonneau cover. Since it's my daily driver, what other interior or exterior mods are truly essential for a new owner to grab first?

yo, congrats! In my experience, WeatherTech FloorLiner HP vs Husky Liners X-act Contour is the big debate for the interior. Honestly, the Husky ones feel a bit softer underfoot, but the WeatherTech fits like a glove... I've been so happy with them for years. Also, Luverne O-Mega II 6-Inch Oval Steps are great for daily use. Definitately grab those floor mats first tho to keep it clean! 👍

For your situation, I’m gonna focus on safety and protecting your investment beyond just the cosmetics. Over the years, I've seen way too many guys regret not having a dash cam... it’s basically the ultimate "CYA" tool for a daily driver. I'd seriously look at the Vantrue N4 Pro 3-Channel Dash Cam because it covers front, rear, and the cabin. If someone clips you in traffic, you want that proof, right? Also, for reliability on the road, the stock lighting can sometimes be lacking. Upgrading to Morimoto XB LED Fog Lights for Chevy Silverado is a total game changer for night visibility and safety in bad weather. Lastly, skip the cheap plastic tools and grab a VIAIR 88P Portable Air Compressor. Keeping your tires at the right PSI is huge for safety and MPG, and it’ll save your skin if you ever catch a nail. Better safe than sorry... gl with the new rig!

Re: "Bump - same question here" - basically what fsjqmdqwuu said about protecting the investment. If you're gonna daily this thing for years, you need to address the wear and tear GM doesnt cover from the factory. Honestly, throw on a Dee Zee Tailgate Assist DZ43204 as soon as you can. It stops the tailgate from slamming and saves your hinges and cables from stretching out over time. Also, grab some WeatherTech No-Drill Mud Flaps. These trucks have a habit of sandblasting their own rocker panels with road debris, and the no-drill ones fit perfectly without ruining the paint. These are two small things that make a massive difference in how the truck holds up long-term.

Ok so, for a daily driver, you gotta look at the interior storage and tech. Here's what I recommend: β€’ Vehicle OCD Center Console Organizer for Chevy Silveradoβ€”essential cuz the stock console is just a big pit.
β€’ Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Silverado 13.4-inch Touchscreen to stop scratches on that glossy display.
β€’ Rough Country Under Seat Storage Compartment to keep your gear hidden. tbh these make a HUGE difference every day!!
