Hey everyone! I recently picked up a C7 Z06 and I'm absolutely loving the raw power, but I’m looking to take it to the next level. I’m planning on doing a few track days this summer, so performance and reliability are my top priorities. I've been looking into high-flow cold air intakes and maybe some cooling upgrades like an improved intercooler expansion tank to help mitigate heat soak issues. I’m trying to stay under a $3,000 budget for now and want to avoid anything too invasive that might void my warranty. Does anyone have specific recommendations for the most effective bolt-on accessories or aero bits that actually make a noticeable difference on the track?

I went through this exact same situation last year when I started tracking mine. Honestly, I thought I was ready but I literally hit limp mode in like 15 minutes because of the heat soak issues. It's highkey annoying lol. I mean, ur smart to look at the intercooler stuff mentioned above, but I also looked into the factory stuff to keep my warranty safe. Just sharing my experience: I actually spent a good chunk of my budget on the GM Secondary Radiator Kit 84037858. Since it's basically a factory part, my dealer was totally cool with it. It helped me stay out on the track way longer without the car pulling power, tho I'm still trying to figure out if there's even more I can do for the oil temps. I also messed around with the suspension cuz the stock mag ride felt a bit floaty at high speeds... I ended up trying the DSC Sport V4 Suspension Controller and it totally transformed how the car felt in the corners. It's basically a plug-and-play box that swaps out the factory controller, super easy to do even if ur not a pro mechanic. Quick tip: Honestly, just get a good set of track-focused pads like the Ferodo Racing DS1.11 Brake Pads and flush the lines. Having brakes that don't fade is lowkey more important than adding 20hp when ur starting out!! But yeah, have fun out there, the Z06 is a monster once u get the cooling sorted out. Anyway, have u looked at track alignment specs yet? gl! 👍

Respectfully, I'd consider another option. Intakes are cool, but the Z06 is already a beast—the real bottleneck is honestly heat and braking. Safety-first is the way to go! I've seen guys cook their fluid by noon... it's realy scary. These worked well for me:
* Carbotech XP12 Front Brake Pads (~$320). No more fade!
* Castrol SRF Racing Brake Fluid 1 Liter (~$65). High boiling point is crucial. Much better value than an intake imo. gl!

> I’ve been looking into high-flow cold air intakes and maybe some cooling upgrades like an improved intercooler expansion tank In my experience, heat is the absolute biggest enemy on the track for the C7 Z06, right? Honestly, you’re smart to focus on that first. I’ve tried many setups over the years, and here’s how I’d break down your $3k budget: Option A (Cooling): The LG Motorsports C7 Z06 Intercooler Expansion Tank is basically a must. It’s around $400 and helps bleed air from the intercooler circuit, which is huge for reliability. Option B (Power): I’d go with the Halltech Stinger RZ Cold Air Intake. It’s about $650 and usually doesn’t require a tune, so it shouldn't mess with ur warranty. Option C (Safety): Please don’t hit the track without Castrol SRF React Racing Brake Fluid ($70) and some Ferodo DS1.11 Brake Pads ($500). Best choice? Do all three! You’ll spend way under $2,000 and the car will actually survive the summer heat. gl!
