Picked up the new CR-V Hybrid Sport-L and while the drive is great, this interior is way more high-maintenance than my old Honda. Already seeing micro-scratches on that piano black trim near the shifter and it is stressing me out.
I have about 200 bucks for some upgrades before our road trip to Oregon next month. I already grabbed the rubber floor mats but the center console is just a giant black hole and the wireless charger is super finicky. What interior accessories are you guys actually using that are actually worth the money? Looking for stuff to protect that gloss trim or better storage for the hybrid cabin...
Regarding what #2 said, that tray is life changing! Love:
The piano black trim on the current CR-V generation is notoriously susceptible to surface abrasions even with minimal contact. Its material hardness is basically non-existent for a high-touch area. I've spent a lot of time analyzing the interior layout and the center console is definitely problematic due to the lack of tiered storage. To narrow down the best hardware for your road trip and that 200 dollar budget, I have a couple of questions:
Honestly, that center console depth is about 10 inches, which is basically a waste of space for small gear. I was pretty annoyed with it until I picked up the JDMSpeed Center Console Organizer Tray for 2023 2024 Honda CR-V. It fits the upper rim perfectly and the ABS plastic is high-grade, so no rattling or warping even in the heat. For the piano black, I went with a matte black cover kit from Kust Interior Trim Cover Kit for 2023-2024 Honda CR-V and it solved the scratch problem instantly. It looks way cleaner than the gloss and doesnt show every single fingerprint. Regarding the finicky wireless charger, the coil alignment in these hybrids is notoriously picky. I got fed up and just use a Anker Powerline III USB-C to Lightning Cable 1ft now. It's way faster and the short length keeps the area tidy without cables tangling everywhere. Very satisfied with this setup so far.
