I just picked up my new Santa Cruz and I'm looking to maximize that bed space! I definitely need a solid tonneau cover and possibly a bed extender for longer hauls. What cargo nets or divider systems are you all using to stop gear from sliding around? What are your absolute must-have accessories for keeping things organized and secure?

yo, congrats! Here's what I recommend for ur bed setup:

- BakFlip MX4 Tonneau Cover vs OEM. BakFlip folds up against the cab, giving u more floor space than the factory roll-top.
- Gladiator Cargo Net vs standard nets. The Gladiator is highkey stronger for heavy stuff.

Honestly, the BakFlip is the best choice. It's more practical and saves cash over the dealer markup... good luck!! peace

Just found this thread and wanted to chime in! For your situation, I think safety is HONESTLY the biggest factor after years of hauling stuff. If your worried about gear shifting, you want stuff that wont fail at 70mph, you know? Its basically about peace of mind.

Here's what I recommend for keeping things secure:
- RetraxPRO XR Retractable Truck Bed Cover - I've tried many covers over the years and this one is like a vault. It locks in any position which is great for safety when you have weirdly shaped loads.
- Last Boks Pickup Truck Bed Organizer - This thing is a lifesaver for groceries. It slides out like a drawer so you dont have to climb into the bed and risk your backβ€”seriously, your back will thank you lol.
- Amp Research BedStep 75325-01A - Getting in and out of the bed is where accidents happen. This makes it way safer.

Basically, its all about making sure nothing can shift. Good luck! 👍

Ok so, I've had my SC for two years now and its honestly amazing! When I first started hauling gear, it was all over the place. For your situation:

1. I think the factory tonneau is lowkey essential for security.
2. IIRC, a 2x6 board in the bed slots works wonders as a divider.
3. Not 100% sure about the nets tho, I've found bins are probably better.

Anyway, organization is key, love the truck!!

so i had a moment to think about this... been obsessed with my SC lately! while the earlier suggestions are solid, they can get pricey fast. i'm all about that budget-friendly utility tbh. in my experience, you want stuff that's technically sound but highkey affordable. basically, stuff that maximizes the bed without emptying your wallet.

here's what i'd check out:
- the Reese Explore 9516600 Adjustable Cargo Bar is a lifesaver. it basically creates a partition anywhere in the bed for like $30 so groceries don't fly around.
- if you need more length, the Lund 601001 Bed Extender is a solid budget alternative to the expensive dealer options.
- also, definitely look at the Dee Zee DZ11995 Tie Down Anchor if you need extra points for heavy-duty straps.

there's a great resource at the hyundai-santacruz.com forums for DIY divider ideas too. people use standard 2x6 boards in the bed's built-in slotsβ€”super cheap way to organize gear!! anyway, what kind of hauls are you planning for first?? 👍
