I just picked up my new Kona Electric and I’m absolutely obsessed with it! Since this is my first brand-new car, I’m really anxious to keep it in showroom condition for as long as possible. I’ve been looking into high-quality protective gear but I'm overwhelmed by the options. Specifically, has anyone found a tempered glass screen protector that fits the dual panoramic displays perfectly? I'm also torn between the OEM all-weather floor mats or going with something like TuxMat for better coverage against mud. Lastly, are mud guards worth it for protecting the paint from road debris? I’d love to hear what you guys have installed to keep your Kona looking fresh. What are the absolute must-have accessories you’d recommend right off the lot?

sooo i just found this thread... unfortunately I had a bad experience spending way too much on gear that didn't even fit right. Since ur looking to save cash while keeping it safe, here is how I'd compare the budget stuff vs the high-end:

1. Screens: RUIYA 2024 Kona 12.3-inch Screen Protector ($18) vs the $35 brands. Glass is safer for impact, but honestly, the cheap plastic films I tried were not as good as expected and just peeled off.
2. Mats: SMARTLINER Custom Fit Floor Mats for 2024 Kona Electric ($130) vs those $200+ sets. I really worry about mats sliding under the brake (HUGE safety issue), so these are solid cuz they lock in.
3. Mud Guards: A-Premium Splash Guards for Kona Electric ($30) vs Dealer OEM. I had issues with the fit being slightly off, but they're okay for protecting the paint.

basically dont rush the install... i messed mine up once lol. good luck!

yo, congrats on the new Kona!! Honestly, keeping a new car in showroom shape is basically a full-time job at first lol. I've been doing this for years with every new car I get, so I feel ur pain. Before I give my two cents tho, are u dealing with a lot of snow where u live or just rain and dirt? And are u looking for a more rugged look or something that blends in?

In my experience, comparing brands is where you really see the value over the long haul. I've spent way too much time doing market research on this stuff, so here's what I recommend based on what has actually worked for me:

* **Floor Mats**: I actually found that 3D MAXpider stuff is way better for that 'showroom' vibe than the ones usually mentioned. They don't look like industrial truck liners and have a texture that's way more premium but still catches all the gunk. I've had mine for ages and they're still great.
* **Screens**: Honestly, go matte. I've tried the glossy glass ones and the fingerprints drive me crazy. A matte protector from a brand like Supershieldz or even generic ones makes a huge difference in glare, especially with that big dual screen layout.
* **Mud Guards**: Seriously, just do it. Even the basic plastic ones save so much wear on the paint from road debris and rocks.

I didn't go with the dealer options cuz they're overpriced... I just got some well-rated ones from a third party and they've held up for three years now with no complaints. It makes the car look a bit more finished too. anyway, gl with the new whip!!

yo, congrats! I went through this last year. I compared specs for TuxMat Custom Car Mats and basically chose them over OEM cuz they have way better vertical coverage. For the screens, I installed a Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Screen Protector and it fits that 12.3-inch dual layout perfectly. I also noticed Hyundai Genuine Mud Guards really help with side panel debris. Its worked well for me so far tho!
