Hey everyone! I just finally took delivery of my new Hyundai IONIQ 5 last week, and I’m absolutely loving the futuristic 'Living Space' vibe of the cabin. However, after just a few days of daily driving, I’m realizing that the minimalist design—while beautiful—could use a bit of help in the organization department. That massive open space under the center console is a cool concept, but my bag and random items keep sliding around every time I take a corner!

I’ve been browsing through various forums and Amazon, but the sheer amount of third-party stuff is a bit overwhelming. I’m really looking for items that feel like they belong in the car rather than cheap afterthoughts. Specifically, has anyone found a high-quality center console organizer or a tray for the unique 'drawer-style' glovebox? I’m also debating between the official Hyundai all-weather mats and some of the more rugged aftermarket brands like TuxMat or WeatherTech, especially since I want to protect the carpet from spills. Another concern is that huge dual-screen setup—is a matte screen protector worth it to cut down on fingerprints and glare?

I want to keep the interior looking clean and premium without cluttering it up. For those of you who have lived with the car for a while, what are the absolute must-have interior accessories you’ve found that actually improve the daily experience?

Seconding the recommendation above for sure! Ngl, the first time I took a sharp turn, my phone flew right into the passenger footwell because of that open space... super annoying lol. If youre looking to keep costs down but want that factory feel, you might want to consider the Musology for Hyundai Ioniq 5 Drawer Glove Box Organizer Tray. It’s usually under $20 and it actually uses the technical dimensions of the drawer so things dont rattle. A few other budget-friendly finds I've used:
* The RUIYA for Hyundai Ioniq 5 12.3-Inch Navigation Screen Protector is a solid matte option for like $15-20. It cuts glare significantly, tho you gotta be careful with the alignment during install.
* Instead of the pricey OEM mats, check out the OEDRO Floor Mats for Hyundai Ioniq 5. They're rugged and usually way cheaper than WeatherTech. Basically, you dont need to spend hundreds to fix the organization issues. Just gotta find the right inserts! It honestly makes the 'living space' way more functional without ruining the clean aesthetic! gl! 👍

Just sharing my experience: I’ve used the BestEvMod for Ioniq 5 Lower Console Storage Box for years. It’s like $30 and stops bags sliding, plus the technical fit is factory-grade. Total budget win!

hey!! i basically compared everything and TuxMat Floor Mats for Hyundai IONIQ 5 (best look) beats WeatherTech (too plasticky) or OEM (pricey). Best choice is TuxMat, but definitely grab the EV-Vida Hyundai Ioniq 5 Center Console Organizer Tray and Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Hyundai IONIQ 5 for fingerprints... they're literally amazing value tho!! gl!

saw this post earlier but just now responding... honestly, that 'living space' design is cool until your laptop bag slides toward the pedals—seriously, its a safety hazard! In my experience over the years, the best way to handle that open floor is with 3D MAXpider Kagu Floor Mats for Hyundai IONIQ 5. They have this grippy backing that keeps them LOCKED in place so they never shift around. Also, for the screen, I highkey recommend the RUIYA for 2022 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Screen Protector Matte. Glare can be REALY dangerous at sunset, and this basically fixes it. If ur looking for another console option that isnt the ones mentioned above, the Carwiner Center Console Organizer for Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a solid, reliable fit. Basically, just make sure whatever you buy wont come loose during a sharp turn. safety first, right?? gl! 👍

Adding my two cents since I've lived with the car for a while now. Honestly, one thing people always overlook is that magnetic panel to the left of the steering wheel. It looks like just a design choice but I found its super useful for keeping things organized. I picked up a Finger Guns Magnetic Phone Mount for Ioniq 5 and it keeps my phone in my line of sight without blocking the vents, which I think is way safer than digging around that open console area while driving. I'm not totally sure if the magnetic strength is identical on all the different trim levels, but on mine it holds really well. Also, for long-term safety, I’m a bit paranoid about being stuck in a blackout or something, so I always keep a Lectron V2L Adapter for Hyundai Ioniq 5 in the trunk. Its pricey but having that 'backup generator' capability is basically the best part of owning this car. Tbh, if you have the light grey interior like I do, you definitely need to keep some Chemical Guys InnerClean Interior Detailer wipes in that drawer glovebox. Its not exactly a hardware mod but keeping that 'living space' clean is half the battle. Just be careful with some of the cheaper plastic stuff on Amazon... I've had a few organizers start rattling after a few months so I usually look for the silicone-lined stuff now.

honestly im gonna have to disagree with the idea that we need all these extras. in my experience over the years, most of this stuff just creates more noise and potential hazards during hard braking. i prefer keeping the living space exactly how the engineers designed it for safety. it actually reminds me of when i used to overpack for every single camping trip back in the day... id have the car loaded to the roof and couldnt even see out the rear window. one time i forgot to tie down a heavy cooler and it tipped over, soaking my entire sleeping bag in pickle juice. i had to sleep in the front seat of my old hatchback for three nights in the freezing cold because of that mess. definitely taught me a lesson about minimalism and keeping things secure. anyway i totally got off track there sorry lol
