I just got my new Kia Sportage Hybrid and I'm looking for a solid dash cam setup. I'm specifically curious about models that won't drain the hybrid battery or block the rearview mirror sensors. Has anyone found a cam that integrates well with the interior wiring? Which model would you recommend for a clean, reliable install?

Seconding that! In my experience Viofo is solid, but Fitcamx 4K Dash Cam for Kia Sportage 2023-2025 is cleaner. It replaces the shroud so it wont block ur sensors. Best integration i think?

Ok so, I had a moment to think about this more since I've dealt with the battery drain headache on hybrids before. NGL, I'm kinda disappointed with how most 'safe' kits actually perform... I once had a generic one literally kill my 12V battery because the low-voltage cutoff was way too low for a hybrid's DC-DC converter to handle properly. Sooo annoying. Pro tip: Check out Dashcamtalk... it's a great resource for actual power draw specs and technical reviews. For a budget-friendly setup that wont kill your car, the Thinkware F200 PRO 1080p Front and Rear Dash Cam Bundle is solid. It has way better energy-saving modes than the Viofo mentioned earlier. If you want 4K value, the Rexing V1P 4K Front and Rear Dual Dash Cam with Wi-Fi is okay, but you gotta use a dedicated hardwire kit like the Thinkware TWA-SH Hardwiring Cable to set a safe cutoff. Honestly, dont risk the hybrid battery with cheap wiring. Cheers!

In my experience, I'd get the VIOFO A119 V3 2K Dash Cam. 1. Only $90
2. Capacitor-based
It wont drain your battery and works well!! Honestly, I'm satisfied. gl!
