@Reply #12 - good point! Honestly, it is kinda wild how this thread turned into a tire debate when the OP is just asking for a sensor recommendation. Over the years, I have seen way too many ES owners get absolutely fleeced at the dealership paying $120 per corner for a sensor that costs a fraction of that online. If you want the technical specs of the factory part without the markup, look for the Pacific Industrial PMV-C010 TPMS Sensor. Pacific is the actual OEM supplier for Lexus, so it is the exact same hardware that came on the car. I once tried some cheap unbranded sensors on an old build to save a few bucks and the signal was so weak they would cut out every time I drove near a cell tower... total nightmare. Another solid, cost-conscious pick is the Huf IntelliSens UVS4041 433MHz which is super reliable for the price. Basically, the discussion here has been a mix of tire talk and Denso fans, but Pacific is the way to go for factory performance. Quick tips:
My buddy told me the exact same thing last week. Guess he was right lol.
I totally agree with the point about checking the budget and warranty first - it definitely makes a huge difference. Honestly, I'm pretty new to the whole Lexus world so I'm still figuring things out myself, but I've been obsessing over forum reviews and community threads all week! From what I've gathered from the community so far:
- Most folks seem to suggest sticking with the original factory-style sensors to avoid pairing issues.
- I think I read somewhere that some brands require a specific reset tool that might not come in the box - which sounds like a realy big pain.
- Not 100% sure but I heard the F Sport might have specific requirements compared to the base ES model? Basically, I'd suggest looking at what the long-time owners are saying in the DIY sections too. Definately worth double-checking so you dont end up with a wierd warning light on your dash!
This is exactly what I needed to hear. Youre a lifesaver honestly.
For Lexus ES F Sport I would also check the warranty. Do you need extended coverage?
@Reply #10 - good point! Honestly, it is kinda disappointing seeing everyone here recommending tires when you asked for a monitor. I've had issues with a few aftermarket TPMS sensors in my ES F Sport and they really were not as good as expected. Most of those cheap universal ones are just gonna cause pairing headaches tho. Unfortunately, the budget stuff usually fails or loses sync after a few months. I'd suggest just getting the Denso 550-0103 TPMS Sensor since they are the OE supplier for Lexus anyway. If you cant find those, the Schrader 29111 TPMS Sensor is another solid alternative that actually lasts. Just dont waste your time with the unbranded ones on eBay... you'll just end up paying a shop twice to fix it.
