Just took delivery of my Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring and I’m loving the PHEV life! I want to protect the interior without sacrificing that luxury feel. I'm specifically looking at high-quality floor liners and maybe a better Level 2 home charging cable. What are the absolute must-have accessories you’d recommend for a new owner?

Congrats on the new ride! Honestly, the Corsair GT is a gem. I remember when I first switched to PHEVs years ago... I tried to go the cheap route with some "universal fit" mats from a local shop. Big mistake. They slid around, looked tacky, and basically killed the premium vibe of the cabin within a week. I learned the hard way that if youre spending Lincoln money, you gotta treat the interior right. For the floor, I HIGHLY suggest skipping the basic rubber ones. If you want that high-end look while still being bulletproof, go for TuxMat Floor Mats for Lincoln Corsair. They cover way more carpet than the standard ones and actually look like they belong in a luxury car rather than a work truck. If you want something more rugged but still precise, the WeatherTech FloorLiner HP is a solid fallback, but seriously, TuxMat is the way to go for the Corsair's aesthetic. Regarding the juice, make sure to avoid those random $200 cables you see online... they can be pretty sketchy long-term. I've been using the ChargePoint Home Flex Level 2 EV Charger for a while now and it's rock solid. It's UL-listed and the app integration is actually useful for tracking your PHEV's efficiency. Another tank-like option is the Grizzl-E Classic Level 2 EV Charging Station. It's built like a brick and great if your garage isnt climate controlled. Lesson learned? Buy once, cry once. Spend a bit more now on quality gear so you dont end up with salt-stained carpets or a fried charging port three years down the line. gl with the new car!!

I remember when I first got into the PHEV game and spent way too much on a smart charger with all the bells and whistles. Tbh, I never even used the app after the first week because the car itself handles the charging schedule just fine. If you're looking to save some money for other mods, I'd suggest going with reliable hardware over flashy tech.

  • 3D MAXpider Kagu Series Floor Liners
  • These have a carbon fiber texture that looks way more high-end than standard rubber mats. They dont look like they belong in a work truck.
  • MUSTART Level 2 Portable EV Charger 40 Amp
  • This is a solid, no-nonsense choice that gets the job done for a lot less than the wall-mounted units. I really like the 3D MAXpider mats because they have a unique layered design that dampens sound a bit too. The MUSTART charger is great because it is portable, so you can take it with you if you're heading to a vacation rental with a NEMA 14-50 outlet. Staying cost-conscious on these doesn't mean you're losing out on performance, it just means you aren't paying for branding or features you wont actually use.

Here's what I recommend: Honestly, I was sooo stressed about the electrical setup when I first got into PHEVs. I spent way too much time obsessing over safety because I didn't wanna blow a fuse or ruin my new car! For your Corsair GT, I highkey suggest staying away from the super expensive stations if you're trying to be budget-conscious. You basically only need a solid Lectron NEMA 14-50 Level 2 EV Charger or even the Megear Level 2 EV Charger 16 Amp. Since the Corsair's battery isn't massive, 16 amps is actually plenty to top it off overnight without needing a massive panel upgrade. Just make sure whatever you buy is UL-listed—safety is HUGE. For the floors, I'm a total stickler for the Husky Liners WeatherBeater Floor Mats. They're usually cheaper than the big-name competitors but the fit is seriously PERFECT. It keeps all that gunk off the Lincoln carpet without looking tacky. Just make sure you get a pro to check your garage outlet first! peace 👍
