I love the stock feel, but I’m looking for that perfect balance between improved handling and a more aggressive look. I’m specifically considering a set of coilovers to drop the ride height slightly and a more vocal exhaust that doesn't drone on the highway. In my experience, you really wanna prioritize the "feel" first cuz it makes the biggest difference for a daily driver. Here is what I recommend based on my own build:
• **Suspension:** I went with MeisterR ZetaCRD Coilovers for Mazda MX-5. They are honestly perfect—stiff enough to kill that factory body roll but they dont break ur back on potholes. Just be careful not to slam it too low or youll scrape everywhere!!
• **Exhaust:** Seriously, look at the Goodwin Racing RoadsterSport SuperStreet Single Tip Exhaust. It sounds amazing when u floor it but basically silent at highway speeds. Zero drone, which is highkey the most important thing tbh.
• **Aero:** For the look, the Garage Vary Rear Ducktail Spoiler looks sooo good. It really sharpens that back end without looking like a tacky race car.

Respectfully, I'd consider another option. Skip coilovers and grab Progress Technology Lowering Springs for Mazda MX-5 ($230). Better value tbh. TL;DR: Springs give that drop without the crazy price tag.
yo, congrats on the buy! not to disagree with the first reply, but i'd actually suggest a different approach for a daily. i spent way too much on Ohlins Road & Track Coilovers a few years back thinking it was the holy grail... unfortunately, it was kinda disappointing bc they were just too stiff for the rough roads around my place. i mean, they're great on track but for a daily drive? honestly, not as good as expected for the price.
tbh, if you want that balance without the headache, try this:
1. Flyin' Miata Sway Bars - seriously, start here. it kills that boat-like body roll but keeps the stock comfort. way better value proposition.
2. Michelin Pilot Sport 4S - good rubber makes a bigger diff than any lip kit. the grip is actually insane.
3. Borla S-Type Cat-Back Exhaust - if you hate drone, this is the one. i had issues with raspy cheap stuff before, but this is solid.
basically, dont blow ur budget on coilovers first. start with bars and tires... lesson learned! lol gl
