What is a fair price for a used 2021 Mazda CX-5?

Been driving Mazdas forever so I know the reliability is solid but the pricing on these 2021 CX-5s is tripping me up. I found a Grand Touring with 30k miles near Seattle for $24,500.

My logic was that since its the pre-refresh model before they added the new seats and standard AWD the price would be lower but it seems high compared to what I paid for my 2018. I need a daily for my new job starting in two weeks and my budget is strictly 25k max. Is that a decent deal for the current market or am I getting hosed? I keep seeing CPO units for way more so maybe this is actually okay...

Love this! You're hitting the absolute sweet spot for value right now. That price is honestly amazing for Seattle where everything is marked up like crazy. The 2021 is technically superior to your 2018 because of the structural adhesives they added to the frame for better rigidity! Check out the CoPilot search tool to track how long that specific unit has been on the lot... it's a game changer for negotiating. Technicals you need to know:

Tbh that price is actually solid for the PNW. The 2021 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring 2.5L got the upgraded 10.25 inch infotainment screen which is a big jump over your 2018 tech. Be careful and make sure to check:

  • Remaining tire tread (OEMs wear fast)
  • Battery voltage
  • Service history for 5k intervals I would suggest getting a pre-purchase inspection just to be safe tho.
