Hey everyone! I just recently joined the Mitsubishi family with a new Outlander, and I'm absolutely loving the ride so far. However, with winter right around the corner and living in an area that gets pretty messy with slush, salt, and mud, I’m getting a bit nervous about the factory carpet mats. I want to swap them out for something heavy-duty before the interior gets trashed.

I’ve been doing some research online, but I'm torn between a few options. I’ve looked at the classic WeatherTech Laser Measured liners and the Husky Liners, but I also saw that Mitsubishi offers their own OEM all-weather mats. My main concern is the fitment, especially around the second-row seating and the path to the third row. I’ve heard some aftermarket mats can be a bit stiff or leave gaps where dirt still gets through. Does anyone here have a preference? I’m looking for something that has a decent 'lip' to catch spills but still feels comfortable underfoot and isn't too slippery when wet.

For those of you who have had your Outlander for a while, which brand has held up the best for you, and did you find the OEM ones worth the price? Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

Seconding the recommendation above! Honestly, OEM is solid but if you're watching your budget, go with Husky Liners WeatherBeater Floor Liners for Mitsubishi Outlander. I've used 'em for years and they're AMAZING for the money.

* Taller lips catch more slush
* Better price point than WeatherTech

Basically, they're the best value i've found. Cheers!

Unsecured mats can slide and jam ur pedals. For safety, I suggest TuxMat Floor Mats for Mitsubishi Outlander. They use security clips so they wont budge, and the coverage is honestly unbeatable.

In my experience, I just got my Outlander too! I was super nervous about mud, so I played it safe. I think I went with the OEM ones because I dont like the idea of mats sliding... Not 100% sure if they're the *best* value, but they've been really solid and I have no complaints. I guess the lesson is that a perfect fit just feels much safer and it makes me really happy!!

I've spent way too much time testing floor liners because I hate how salt eats through everything. Last winter I had a set that looked fine but the material got rock hard and super slippery in zero-degree weather, which is actually kind of dangerous when you're getting in and out. I ended up swapping to 3D MAXpider KAGU Floor Mat for Mitsubishi Outlander and it was a total game changer for the texture.

  • Look for TPE materials specifically because they dont curl at the edges like cheaper PVC.
  • Check the backing; some universal ones dont use the factory retention hooks.
  • Be careful with the third-row coverage since the Outlander has that weird floor hump. I personally found WeatherTech FloorLiner for Mitsubishi Outlander to have the best liquid capacity, but they can feel a bit like hard plastic. If you want that premium look without the work truck vibe, the MAXpider ones have this carbon fiber texture that honestly looks way better. Just make sure whatever you buy explicitly mentions the 2022 plus model year if you have the newer body style, because the older ones wont fit at all.
